For those of us that didn't venture into the cold of three divisions of racing, how was the track? Sounded like a great feature?
Thanks

Track was good. Car count was great. Racing was spectacular.

Craig Mintz over Stevie Smith by .146 seconds & they were slide jobbin each other like crazy around the mid point of the 40 lapper, Stevie got the lead & Mintz caught up to him & passed him coming out of 4 for the checker & Wilson was coming on like gangbusters. Would have like to have seen another couple of laps just to see what the outcome would have been. 4th was Blaney, 5th Hannagan, 6th Shaffer, 7th Kemenah. BTW All Star feature was over by 9:45.

I've been going to Attica for about 7 years and would say this was some of the best racing I have seen anywhere!!! I would have paid three times the ticket price to see those shows again!!

Who's doing the Track Prep there these days? I used to drive from Owosso, MI to Attica (185 miles) almost every Friday night back in the 90's when Gene Frankart ran the place. It was among my top 5 tracks in the countryfor many years. The show, running three classes often ended before 10 pm and the racing was excellent, loved the place....

Hey Nelligan! I second that thought, when Gene was running the place Attica was tops on my list, an incredibly well run show and I got out at a decent hour to make my two hour drive home. I went both nights, Friday I left after the sprint heats, I was freezing my a$$ off and it was after 9:00 when the sprint heats finished. There were SEVEN support heat races yet and a B-Main for each, plus a Dash, C and B for the sprints. I figured at best I'd be out of there at 11:30 and 2 hours home is 1:30am. So I called it a night and left. I did go back on Saturday, understand on both nights I paid for a $30 pit pass, not like some media members who get in free and will tell me I should be happy there was a race to be at. I was happy there was a race to be at, what is so frustrating is TWO support divisions on a big sprint show. Why not one each night? Especially this time of year when chances are, it's gonna be cold. It was standing room only both nights, so obviously the crowd didn't seem to mind, maybe it's just me and my 47 years of age.My question is this, standing room only crowd for the Spring Nationals, awesome and congrats to Attica. How many people would have been there for just the Late Models and 305's?I'm sure Attica's WoO show will once again have 2 support divisions which at that time of year will wear out the track and instead of a nice surface we will get to watch the WoO scratch and claw for traction instead of having a nice moist surface to race on. Is it that profitable running the 305's and Late Models in support that make these shows doable?

First of all, the track slicked off both nights. It was windy and sunny on friday so, there was going to be no way around that happening. The racing in the a-main was 1000% better than the opening night race when the track stayed heavy. You missed one of the best races in years if you left early. There were 4-5 drivers all over each other that could have won that race. It was cold and I'm not that much younger than you but, I was able to hold out and it was well worth it. There was still a very sizeable crowd when the 305's ran their a-main and it turned out to be almost as good as the 410 a-main with a few different cars that could have won and the pass for the win came with the cars coming to the white flag just like the 410 a.

Track Promoter John Bores and a kid I believe they call "PorkChop" are doing the track prep now and the track is always in great shape.

Once again Attica doesn't disappoint. Definitely one of the most entertaining tracks to watch a sprint show!

I've been to the "big time" sprint car tracks(eldora, knoxville, & the grove). Attica has the best racing out of all of them.

I cant remember who it was but it was whoever started behind Chris Andrews they didnt want to wait for the race to start and got up under Andrews forcing him down the track into Brian Lay.

Brian Lay started behind Andrews, so the above suggestion must be false. Here is video of the events....................

Gotta love Attica. I go to a lot of tracks and Attica almost every week. Track is always smooth and slicks off perfectly come feature time. Always a great race.
