Points Race Number One tonight at Silver Dollar Speedway began SLOW! The track had so much water in it. Took awhile for it to be mudded in and ready for hot laps to start.

Andy Forsberg picked up the quick time award tonight with a 14.493 second lap to top the charts. Kyle Larson timed in second followed by Rico Abreu, Sean Becker, and Jim Richardson rounded out the top five.

Ten Street Stocks hit the track tonight with Mitch Machado taking the win in the A Main Followed by Jake Vantol, Shawn Smith, Gary Newman, and Terry Lawrence in the top five. Heat race wins were picked up by Jake Vantol and Mitch Machado.

The Mini Stock Main saw Shawn Merritt dominate. Leading every lap of the main event to win the opener Merritt was followed by Howard Law across the stripe, The 46 car took third, followed by Jason Clayton and James Foster rounding out the top five. Heat race wins were picked up by James Foster and Howard Law.

The Dirt Modified Main Event was action packed tight racing with a bit of drama. Jeff Olshowka led the majority of the race over Randy Mcdaniel and Oreste Gonella hot on his tail. About lap Nine the black flag was shown to Mcdaniel for being to loud. Mcdaniel proceeded to ignored the black flag and with only a couple of laps to go took Olschowka out of the lead and the race. After the caution lights went out Mcdaniel and Olschowka had left the track and Oreste Gonella held on to win the race with a blowing up engine. The Lone heat race was won by Randy Mcdaniel.

The Sprint Car main began with Sean Becker and Rico Abreu on the front row. It took three attempts to get the race under way but once it got going it was a very exciting race. Becker led the first few laps until Rico Abreu made some great moves in traffic and made the pass for the lead and Becker dropped to third behind Larson. Rico looked to be pulling away when contact with a lapped car on lap 18 allowed Larson to make the pass for the lead. Shortly after the pass was made, the caution flew for Mason Moore who had stopped on the backstretch. Under caution Rico came to a stop with a mechanical problem and was sidelined for the remainder of the race. That left it up to Larson, Becker, and Forsberg up front to sort things out with 7 to go. Larson looked to be set to win but on the restart he and about ten other cars pushed the nose up the track in turn one. That allowed Sean Becker to make the pass for the lead. Becker was pushin the nose hard as well in the turns but was able to hold on and get the WIN driving the Menne Motorsports number 75. Becker was chased across the line by Kyle Larson, Andy Forsberg, Robbie Whitchurch, and surprise driver of the night Jim Richardson rounded out the top five. Heat race wins went to Gary Paulson, Robbie Whitchurch, and Brad Bumgarner.

What an exciting night of racing at the Silver Dollar Speedway and there is more to come on April 20th we return with Points Race Number Two, The Bill Brownell Memorial, featuring FIVE divisions!!! The 410 Winged Sprints, Mini Stocks, Modifieds, Ltd. Late Models, and the Wingless Sprint Cars! See you there!
