Yes it should be a great start to the season for the NCRA sprinters. The weather forecast looks fantasitic, now if the track preperations are on, this could be a memorable event.

nearly 180 mini sprints at Port City Raceway this weekend - and their track prep is awesome at a clip I had hardly seen before going there. I've made 29 visits to PCR now - 25 of those shows were excellent or beyond. the 4 that weren't? the first one - they had to make up all that had been rained out night 1 - they coulda worked on the track but it was cold and late. the 2nd one was beginning of last year - too much rain - but they worked their butts off to make it watchable. the 3rd - storms came through after heats - and the fourth was the following week - they had to make up the prior features plus had a field of nearly 150 cars - and the show was great through the 7 makeup features, heats, B's and 2 of the A's - hell I think they ran something like 50 races on it that night. we were still happy though lol.

I hope the NCRA race at 81 is outstanding and beyond, but seen too many high quality races at PCR the past couple of years to stray away from it on a night I am able to attend. I think Kevin Eckert would understand - I was glad his first trip there was of their usual extremely high quality - in fact I believe it saved his left coast trip if I recall lol. About 75% of the time that place perfects the art of the cushion.

damn I can't wait for tomorrow night!! Smile
