Just read this in the most recent issue of Sprint Car and Midget Magazine: Jaws were dropping and eyes were popping as Brian Gerster zoomed around the high banks of Bristol Motor Speedway in the TruFuel Xtreme Speed Classic. In the session the 42-year old winged sprint car racer from Indiana smashed the track record with a lap of 12.742 at 150.58mph. 9 drivers broke Jason Blonde's old mark of 13.24 at 144mph. Gerster led all 25 laps to pocket $10,000.
This may be old news here, but I've not read it. I'm sure Hosehead news covered it but I rarely get there.

Yes the Bristol Motor Speedway Make Up Department had worked overtime the last several days making a lot of spectators look like empty seats!
