Jeff Roberg is planning on changing servers on my www.RacingFromThePast.com
I'm thinking of just dropping it and posting all my photos I took on the Racing From The Past Forum. Over the last several years I have really lost interest in maintaining it. You have the forum and so many are into FaceBook etc. Jeff maintains these HoseHeads Forums also. He has never asked for a dime in 11+ years. He is the man to thank for this site.

The site is in very bad need of a facelift. It needs some serious reorganization anyway. You know alphabetical of something. I would keep the dot com address and direct it to the forum. The use of others photos as come under fire anyway on the site.

Yours,

Warren Vincent.

Warren this site has brought a lot of joy and memories back to a lot of people including myself. It is still a highly talked about site. Without people like yourself I feel that vintage racing would go away, and right now it is really starting to grow, we need you and your site to help this happen. I like many others I do not use facebook, most of these type site usually go away, like myspace. When that happens then where do we go. Warren you are our rock that we can always go to. Please if you can keep RFTP up and going it now has become part of the history. If there is any thing I can do let me know you got my number.

Warren, Would like to see it kept going ,this site is where the deal all started, agree with Olracer 55 Facebook will eventually fade away someday, just how the world is , latest thing gets old and folks move on to the next thing.

This deal has been around for a good while now and longer than Facebook,Twitter,My Space and others I don't even know about. Understand your position of tired of dealing with the site's upkeep, but just stating my opinion as I like this site/message board, to me there is just nothing like the Original, some of the stuff over there on Facebook to me has went away from the original intent to be Vintage Super Modifieds from this area Kansas ,Texas,Oklahoma and it has gone beyond that , I guess it is good for some who like to see it all but it just does not interest me, what interests me is the cars I seen in person run and the drivers and the stories of who drove them and even some I know but also watched them race all from Ks.,Tx.,Okla. while I was growing up in the late 60's,70's , 80's and even on down the road now for me, like still getting to watch Mike Peters and a few others wheel a car around the dirt oval today and you get that here on this site.

J.D.

A couple of things I would like to ad. I myself am not a fan of facebook like JD but I also understand there is a place for it with the younger people. Which I think Brian has done a world of good to help reach them and bring them into the fold which is needed to preserve the history to help bring them to RFTP. I have told many young people at our tent at different tracks about RFTP and some already had been to it and thought it was the neetest thing and the others after seeing it think the same. Warren I don't think you will ever understand or know how important you are to the vintage scene. Like any building you must have a good foundation to build from or it will fall, you Warren are our foundation in this area.

Warren, I can't add much to the previous posts but I know I'd go into complete melt down if I couldn't check this site at least a dozen times a day. We've been through so much in the past few years. We've lost some good fellow racers along the way but without this site we may have never really known them. We've shared with each other the misfortunes life throws at us. There's been heart attacks, loss of employment, financial worrys but also good causes to band together and support. I've known many that would never have clicked on a computer but have learned enough to get on to the site to enyoy it. Without this site they would still be reluctant to be involved. Let us know what is needed to be done. We'll support you in any way we can. Scotty

Warren I hope you keep this site up. as I have said before, I could not evern us a computer until I found this site. I have meet many freinds, JD, Randy, Tim Belk, Brian and all the rest and have found a lot from the past. We have lost a lot of friends who have used this site, I think of Luther and the cd he sent of his his last trip to the Lane reunion and his personal e-mails that I have saved. I still think about all the get well wishes that were sent to me because of RFTP. JD sent me a wonderful cd with a get well card on the wing of his race car. When my son graduated from college Luther sent me the a wonderful message aoubt what family means. I hope you understand wht RFTP means to all of us and how much we appreciate it

My thoughts were to just move it to this forum. It is owned by the same person Jeff Roberg. The racingfromthepast.com would bring you here. I could have the categories stuck at the top so they wouldn't get lost in the topics. The advantage is everyone could say add to the Oklahoma Supermodifieds or the Kansas supermodifieds. etc.

Please do what works best for your brand and yourself Warren. Your vision has led us so far, and will continue to grow. Right now we're working on 2 fronts, and pushing back the invisible limits that many sites are against. More legs to stand on, more members, followers than ever before hopefully. While other sites diminish, your logo lives on and many of us are dedicated to keeping it alive out there.

Facebook has given me a lot of issues I didn't expect. Whether it stays or goes, time will tell. In the meantime we're out there mining for what hasn't been seen and hopefully no one blames me for treason. The facebook thing exploded unexpectedly and well, people were coming in so fast with pics and networking, that it couldn't be ignored.

I believe in you, and I have to know that if anything ever happens to me personally, the ship you brought us on keeps sailing. My name does not need to be remembered, but hopefully the work that I did, has helped . I cannot say that sincerely enough.

You are still the Boss.

Below is what Jeff Roberg says.

"I would hate to see the site disappear.
If you would want to transfer the domain over to me I would build a dynamic database driven site so users could post pictures and make it easy to search for them and write comments to them.
Let me know."
Thanks
Jeff Roberg
OK this sites need to be around for the generation to come. It is apparent I have lost interested.

Ron Paul 2012

Ron Paul starts speaking at 37:05. Does your candidate draw 5,000 supporters to a rally. Watch this video all the way through. Then wonder why your not on the Ron Paul Bandwagon. You will wonder why did I vote for that elite supported candidate in my caucus or primary. The media will not show you the Ron Paul Rallies anymore cause thousands are showing up. They can't continue to cover up the revolution. Wake up American. The only candidate is Congressman/Dr. Ron Paul.

Since I'm giving up this website in the near future I thought I better plug Dr. Paul as much as I can. You won't have to put up with poplitics. It has been a great 12 years bringing the memories to you. I have cried right along with you as the memories pop up before our eyes. I just don't have the interest anymore it takes to keep bringing you the memories.

Mark as spam if you will. It is your American you are losing. So go back to sleep if you mark as spam. We will do it without you.
