Pill draw. Heat One: Kyle Smith in the 55s. Heat Two: Danny Faria in the new, blue 17j. Heat Three: Mike Spencer in Cory's #4k with a Gary Howard motor. B Main: Zack Sawyers. A Main: Spencer from the pole, Rutherford from 3rd, Faria from 6th, Mitchell from 7th. ... Good crowd (maybe 1500?). Mike almost surrendered the lead to Troy on the first start, but took off like a jackrabbit on the restart and, save for squirming through traffic, was in command all the way. Faria might have had the best car, setup or benefit from familiarity with Ventura's new, Tulare-like turns.

Anyone got the full results yet? Just want to know how Zach Sawyers finished in the main from his last row starting spot. Thanks!

Zack finished 9th on the lead lap and won the $500 All Coast Hard Charger award for improving his position 8 spots in the main. Really good driver and nice family. I hope they come back to Ventura again this year. It was great to have them run with us Saturday!

Thank you Cliff! The Sawyers are just the nicest people! Only for my sadly depleted pocketbook did I not join them for this trip. Hope to make it over with them next time.
