OIL TWINS DRIVER TIM BROWN MAKES 2012 DEBUT SATURDAY AT THE
PAS!

(March 8, 2012, Montclair, CA) This Saturday night, March 10th, when the California Lightning Sprint Cars join the legendary World of Outlaw Sprint Car Series at Perris Auto
Speedway, a familiar face will return to action. Driving the Oil Twins Amsoil #1 in the CLS portion of the show will be defending champion Tim Brown of Wildomar, California.

Brown won last year's championship in only his fourth season of racing in the series. Despite the fact that the 52-year-old star is the defending champ, he missed the first race of the new campaign two weeks ago when his car was not ready. When the 2011 season closed, it not only
looked like he would miss this year's first race, but it looked like he would not race again. "I actually sold my car to some guy in Australia when the season ended," Brown laughed
while speaking on the telephone on Wednesday. "I told my wife that if I won the championship I would be done. That was my intention, but at our awards banquet, 2009 champion Stuart Hielscher Sr. and I talked and decided to build a car together. We are actually going to split the driving duties. I am going to run it and he is going to run it. We have a brand 2012
Henchcraft. It is a beauty."

In addition to Brown and Hielschier Sr., who resides in Murrieta, California, another familiar face to Southern California race fans may take a spin or two as well. "You might even see Stuart Hielscher Jr. in it," Brown said. "He may take a couple of his dad's turns behind the wheel. He is done playing football and he wants to drive a racecar again." Hielscher Jr. won several main events in the CLS before taking time off to play football at Palomar College.

The Brown - Hielscher relationship is a new one. "We became friends through racing," Brown enthused. "Never knew him before I started racing Lightning Sprints. He helped me all year last year and that definitely helped me win the championship."

Brown's key to last year's title was consistency. He only had one win (his first ever in CLS
action), but he only finished out of the top five two times all season long and he completed all, but one race. "I won one race and won the championship" he laughed. "I did not want to win a championship without winning a race. I was saying 'this has got to happen (winning a race)' and I actually bombed them and won at Santa Maria Speedway. That was a relief."

Brown feels one of the reasons his car ran so well was Amsoil. "I used to run another product and I had to change my oil every race," he stated. "That product was expensive and when I changed it, it did not look good when it came out of the car. It looked whipped."

Things changed three races into the 2011 campaign when Andy and Casey Jones of the Oil Twins offered Brown a product sponsorship with Amsoil. "I was talking with Andy and he offered me a sponsorship," the appreciative driver reminisced. "From day one I had basically done this with zero sponsorships. He offered a product only sponsorship and I was more than glad to accept. I mean, I was doing $60.00 oil changes every race. He assured me that if I went to Amsoil, I would only need to change the oil every third race."

Once Brown put Amsoil into the car, there was no consideration on going back to his old oil.
"Amsoil has a real gold look to it," Brown gushed. "I started changing my oil every third race like Andy said to do and the oil looked exactly the same coming out as it did when I put it in. The difference between what Amsoil looks like and what that other oil looked like when they
came out of the car is night and day. The used Amsoil oil looks new. That is amazing when you consider that these things are turning 13,000 RPM's for 30 or 40 minutes. Amsoil
whips my old oil. When I take my Amsoil out of the racecar, I save it and I put it into my lawn tractor, my golf cart, my skip loader and other items I use around my house."

To see Tim Brown in action with the California Lightning Sprint Cars and watch the World of Outlaws, be on hand this Saturday night at Perris Auto Speedway.
