What a great show!!!!! I'm shoveling the dirt out of my hair and ears as I type, but it was soooooo worth it, the top 5 put on such a show for the fans! I'm not missing 1 show with these drivers and the talent they put on display, even if it means only getting 4 hours of sleep, cuz I have to drive 60 miles back home to Iowa and be up at 4 a.m. to go to work. The only sad part of the night came when Robert Bell had that scarey crash with the infield wall landing upside down on it. Did anyone see what happened to cause that wreck? I'm soooo glad he was OK, but feel sorry for his torn up car, he's a good guy. Jake "the Snake" Peters, makes me a fan everytime I see him rim-ridin' around the top, that car loves the very top of 3 & 4!!! My favorite part of the night was when Billy Alley and Dusty Zomer were swappin' positions with about 5 or 6 laps to go, so very cool. Huset's is without a doubt MY OFFICIAL RACE TRACK OF SUMMER, THANKS TO ALL THE DRIVERS, GREAT RACING!!!!!

Bingo.

Winters taking the point with a 360. Bakker coming from 14th to 2nd in 12 laps without a yellow until having to pull in during the red. Runge was flying at the beginning. DeWall holding his own until Winters got him. Jake just doing what he does best, waiting for the best time to attack. Zomer and Alley going at it hard the last 5 laps (how did they not hit on Alley's returned slider?). And oh yah, Dobmeier coming from 22nd to 5th.

Best short track in America when the track was like it was last night.

3 weeks ago, we brought a first timer to Husets.  He hasnt missed a show since and he lives 20 miles away and had never been there.

Last night, we brought a  husband and wife to Husets for their first time..  We've been trying to get them to go with us for a couple of years.   When walking in on the south side during hot laps, we were peppered by flying dirt. I worried about how their reaction would be.  First thing he said was,  "I like this place already

They grew up watching races at Sunset Speedway in Omaha and were impressed with the speedway, and the racing.

I'm pretty sure they will be back.

Not too shabby for Scott Winters either.
