Practice Day 3/10 & 3/24 Kicks off Exciting LoneStar Season
KILGORE TX (3/6/12) by DarinShort.com. Two practice dates are set to
kick off the 2012 racing season at LoneStar Speedway, and they are
scheduled for Saturday March 10th and 24th.
Practice is scheduled both days from 2pm to 6pm and all pit passes are
$15. Drivers can also register their cars on practice days.

Each 2012 event is a special event with a featured race division. In
addition, there will be three divisions racing for the points
championship & points fund. Those classes are Modifieds, Limited
Modifieds and Factory Stocks.
Limited Modifieds will be teched on 2012 IMCA legal Southern SportMod
legal rules, and the previously track approved headers are still legal.

Every 2012 race night will include the three points divisions plus one
of these race divisions: Sprint Cars, Late Models or Winged Modifieds.
One other notable change is that ALL points races for the modifieds will
pay $1,000 to win and $80 to start; which is an increase from $500 to
win and $60 to start in 2011. There is a $50 entry fee for each modified
points race.
The season kicks off with a blockbuster event when the $10,000 to win
Lucas Oil Late Model Series take on the high banks on Saturday, March
31. Details will be posted on the track website soon.
The October 11-13 LoneStar Sprint Nationals is one of the largest sprint
car purses in the country, and entries to the event are coming already.
At this moment over 20 teams from six states have entered.
We're excited and proud to bring race fans this 'specials only' racing
schedule for 2012 and we hope you can take in as many of the races that
you can!

Open practice for all race divisions is still on, as scheduled, for this coming Saturday, March 24th from 2pm-6pm.
All pit passes are $15, and the grandstands will be open with free admission.
If there are any updates, they will be posted at http://www.LoneStarSpeedway.com on Saturday morning.
