We wanted to share Ross Wece's latest video, "When The Man Comes Around" that Ross prepared for a college class project using highlights of our MOWA 2011 Season.
It's also long overdue for all race fans to send out a big "Thank You" to Ross for his contributions to the sport over the past year. One year ago last week we were still scrambling to put together a sprint car series in Illinois. We had noticed this college kid who had posted a couple of racing videos as RacingSuperfan he had shot for the fun of it. Without a schedule, without any members, and without any money at the time we sent out a request on Twitter for this RacingSuperfan kid to contact us because we "have a racing project" he might be interested in.
A year later we were so lucky to have found just the right person to work with... but even more lucky to have found a great friend to all of our members, fans and families. For those of you who don't know, Ross's typical schedule during the school year consisted of leaving for work on his local TV station's morning show at 3a.m, going to class all afternoon after getting off work mid-morning... and still having time to study, prepare videos and attend races every weekend. That is dedication by any definition.
On behalf of all of us at MOWA... Thanks Ross for all you have done for us over the past year, and thank you for being a part of the MOWA family. We hope any career opportunities that arise after your graduation in a few months will allow you time to continue to be a part of what we are doing. Good things happen to good people, so we know that great things lie ahead for Ross.
Enjoy the video...
