All roads lead to Pennsylvania...

AARN: Joey Saldana - the Brownsburg Bullet - has been racing sprint cars since he was 18.

"There's a lot of great drivers that didn't win a championship and I'm past that'" he said. "If I never win a championship that's fine, I just want to win races. The reason I've been at Kasey Kahne Racing for seven seasons is we win races. I may not have a championship, but we can win races and that's what I want to continue to do. I'd love to win a race at Williams Grove. I've won with my own team, but Kasey Kahne Racing's never won there. We've had shot's at it, but never got it done."

Let's not forget the only Outlaw to be able to beat the Posse in the last five years just lost his ride to Posse born and bred. It ain't looking good for the World of Also Rans.

2012 World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series Rulebook
Section 8
Provisional & Alternate Starting Positions

A.) If provisional’s are permitted in the Feature event; the car(s) will earn full WoO points.

B.) All 2012 WoO Platinum Member Teams that raced the entire 2011 season either as an Owner or Driver will begin the 2012 season with 2 provisional’s. 2012 Gold Members that are in good standing will earn 2 provisional’s after the 5 race night of the 2012 season. On July 1, 2012, any Platinum or Gold Team having raced 100% of the schedule to date will earn an additional 2 provisional’s. The total provisional’s any team can accumulate for the 2012 season is four (4). Any Owner or Driver that has already exhausted their allotted provisional’s but gain additional provisional’s by switching teams and/or by any other legal means will earn show-up points only for any further provisional starts.

C.) Any Team using a provisional shall forfeit the minimum start money paid for the Feature. Any position attained that pays greater than the start money will only be paid as advertised less the start money amount.

D.) All Teams wanting to take a provisional must have attempted to compete in at least one preliminary event leading up to the Feature.

E.) Provisional’s tag the rear of the Feature.

F.) Only two WoO provisional positions will be permitted for each Event’s Feature.

G.) The following guidelines will be used for determining provisional order:
a) For the first 5 race nights of the year provisional’s will be awarded according to last year’s final Owner and Driver Point standings. (For the first 5 nights of racing only 2012 Platinum Members that raced full time as an Owner or Driver from the previous year are eligible for provisional’s)
b) Beginning on the 6th night of racing, current Owner Points will determine the provisional order.
c) When using 2011 Owner and Driver Points for the first 5 nights of racing, the provisional order will be established by combining the two point’s list into one, numerically sequenced, list. If a team is comprised of a 2011 Owner and a different 2011 Driver then that team uses whichever has the highest point position. Owner Points will take precedent if a tie exists between any Owner and Driver. Other ties will be broken first by 2011 A Main wins, then top 5 finishes, then top 10 finishes and finally by qualifying position. Multi-car teams cannot rotate drivers to enhance their provisional position.

H.) At tracks where a weekly sprint car program is raced and pointed, the promoter may install a program identically paid and pointed as the WoO provisional’s, for up to 2 local drivers.

I.) In the event that a car qualified for the Feature is unable to take the initial green flag, the first non qualified car will be taken as the alternate for the Feature event. Alternates earn show-up points only. However, Alternates earn the full amount of purse money that their respective finishing position is scheduled to pay. The original qualified car will not receive points for the Feature race. If a qualified car takes the initial green flag and then falls out of the race, no alternate will be taken and that car will receive only last place points for the Feature.

Provisionsals are not needed. What they should do is just start everyone running a sbc. Anyone brilliant enough to run a scrub deserves to be in the main event.

Cheap is AWESOME!!!!!.... If it were a xXx with a Subaru and it was winning it would be better! Smile And I would really like to see Joey win a Championship. He seems to be a good guy who is working hard at his craft. So I for one would be happy for him should he actually win one.

Cubic, be careful now. Your boys were just roasted AGAIN in Florida on neutral grounds for the umpteenth year in a row. Thank God you have that Ott kid coming along because your big dogs sure got nothing done, they were embarassed as you should be. But heck, before you know it May comes along and they get competitive at the one and only track they ever have been, America's Slowest Half Mile where ANY local can do great there and not make most features elsewhere. Central PA, home of the 'One Track Wonders'......

FWIW, Logan Schuchart (Bobby Allen's grandson) is the guy that is viewed as the next big Posse star even more than Aaron Ott. Last year, as an 18-year-old, Schuchart was the overall 358 Sprint Car champion in central PA. He beat Shane Stewart and Daryn Pittman to win Selinsgrove's $8,000 National Open, and was going for the lead against the Outlaws on the opening night of the National Open at the Grove before getting knocked out by a crash. That race was just the third time he had ever raced a 410 anywhere..

Schuchart is racing 410s full time this year. I didn't really look at the stuff from Florida super close, but I know he had some top 10s down there a couple weeks ago.

I want Joey to win the Knoxville Nationals more than a championship. I mean how many times has he finished second in that race??

He comes from Great stock if he's connected to Mr. Allen and I sure hope to gets the opportunity to get out and ply his trade for the rest of the country to see. Of course, we need the Outlaws to survive to have that happen, here's hopin'....As to the main subject, Joey Saldana rarely if ever wins a boring race, he goes all out about every lap and seeing him win at Eldora is worth the price of admission alone, I hope he wins many this year....

Bobby Allen is the car owner and crew chief for Schuchart. Here is a profile that shows a pic of the car.The scheme looks just like a Bobby Allen car with the shark teeth on the hood and Schuchart carries the number 1s as opposed to 1a.

With Meyers gone Schuchart beats the Also Rans this year.

Considering he'd probably have to be in the Pancho's 93 if he DID show up, he wouldn't be winning a damn thing.

Donny Schatz couldn't win a race in the Pancho's 93.

AJ Foyt couldn't win a race in the Pancho's 93.

Knoxville regulars like Lasoski and McCarl have beat the Outlaws all over the country unlike the one track wonder boys, heck even Dollansky and Wolfgang who are former regulars did the same thing. Don't think there are too many of the one track wonder boys from the Grove that have gone elsewhere and beat the best in the bizness, wouldn't you agree, lol?

There are twice as many Outlaw caliber race cars in PA than on the Outlaw tour and twice as many races. It's no wonder the circus has had a hard time winning a race in five years. Talk about finding an acorn.

From what Florida just showed again there are ZERO Posse cars that can beat the Outlaws but anyone with a brain already knew this and has for years. Still waiting for you or someone to get around the 'one track wonder' deal and a decade later nobody has. Steve Kinser has won more W of O races at the Grove than ALL the Posse drivers combined (when you don't count Bobby Allen who wasn't a Posse driver for the most part when he won his races there). Heck, Sammy, Schatz, and Mark Kinser have won twice as many races there than either of your two best, Kreitz and Dewease. And to think this is the ONLY track you've been competitive at with the Outlaws over the years. Talk about myth-busting or over-rated or reality-check, no matter how you look at it the Outlaws can't beat the Grove but have no trouble with the Posse, history has shown this and statistics have proven it, I sure miss the good ol' days, lol.....

PS Having to use the stats from the Grove site which hasn't been updated since '09 it says, yikes!!!
