I know in the past the All-Star format had a dash of only All-Star members, but that was when the dash had no barring on the A starting lineup. Joey timed 3rd and finished 4th in his heat. I thought it was now the top 6 fast time trials who qualify through their heat? Other than Joey, the 6 that were in the dash met those standards...

S Kinser-timed 11th, 5th in heat

K Kinser-timed 12th, 3rd in heat

Lasoski-timed 1st, 2nd in heat

Ott-timed 4th, 5th in heat

Dale Blaney-timed 5th, 4th in heat

Pittman-timed 2nd, 2nd in heat

...the other cars that timed better than 12th did not finish in the top 5 in their heat.
