CONCORD, N.C. – With the 2012 sprint car season in sight, "Winged Nation" will sort through some pre-season moves with Stevie Smith, Dave Blaney and Jason Meyers on Tuesday. The one-hour program, co-hosted by Kendra Jacobs and Steve Post, airs on MotorRacingNetwork.com at noon Eastern on Tuesday.
Smith, a second-generation racer, has been a mainstay on the Pennsylvania tracks for the last few years. He has partnered with CL Motorsports with an exciting program featuring a new team and a historic look.
Blaney is the 1995 World of Outlaws Champion who has spent much of the last 15 years racing in NASCAR Sprint Cup Series racing. Speculation is that Blaney will be climbing back behind the wheel of a sprint car later this month. "Winged Nation" will have all the answers from Blaney himself.
Last week, Meyers shocked the motorsports world announcing that he is stepping away from the sport as a full-time travelling driver. The two-time and reigning World Of Outlaws Champion wants to devote time to his family and will do that after a 14-race "appreciation tour" in ending in March.
"Winged Nation" covers winged sprint car racing across America each week streamed live at noon Eastern and then available on www.MotorRacingNetwork.com throughout the week. Jacobs is the daughter of sprint car legend Kenny Jacobs and a former Miss Knoxville Nationals. Post is a broadcaster with MRN Radio and passionate dirt track racing fan.
