Last year Tommie Estes, this year Lonnie Wheatley. Whats going on in Tulsa? Reduction of purses on National Tour. Not hating here, i happen to be a loyal ascs fan, but you need to stop the bleeding.

Hey n2sprints, isn't it obvious to you that some of us don't understand what you are writing about? I am from Iowa & only see the ASCS on limited dates, so am not familiar with the inner workings. So how about explaining your post to those of us asking for an explanation; as opposed to a "cute" reply like "Thought I did"!!

Lonnie has left ASCS per his Facebook page. Rumors are its an issue of compensation. Cost to travel is up, cost of living is up and his pay doesnt go up. Just what I hear so dont take this as fact. Wonder who will do his job now?

Wow, hope he realizes that compensation is the same in the rest of the world too.
Cost of gas to get to an from work goes up, cost for groceries to feed the family goes up, insurance rates (health) and premiums go up, and MOST (not all) workers in America have taken PAY CUTS the last 2-3 years. Even if Lonnie's stayed the same, he's still ahead of many others in America.
Guess the grass always looks greener on the other side of the fence (although I doubt it really is)...

I will assume you missed the "Just what I hear so dont take this as fact" part.

CZ, maybe you should learn to keep your mouth shut at times and let the ASCS front office handle this one. Your smartass responses on this and other message boards dont represent the ASCS well at times. Your track record speaks for itself and many people in the Midwest dont like your attitude at many times. Do your job and shut up Mr. ASCS! Give us some facts to prove it or better yet, just dont say anything at all, if that is possible.

Maybe he was just answering what the guy claimed he heard in a rumor and quickly denied it. I think posting something pertaining on rumors in a situation like this is far worse than getting on here and denying those rumors.
CZ is probably saying as much as he can but yet just enough to get the point across...Lonnie has left ASCS after ten years just about the same time Estes left last year and the exact reasoning is between Lonnie and the people he knows and trusts well.

Whatever the reason is it is definitely a loss for ASCS as Lonnie is a class act. I wish him well whatever he decides to do moving forward and I hope to see him again some day. Chris Lovett

Me too agree with this and wish Lonnie only the best. ASCS will have a challenge writing his job description, but all will go forward for the sport and the ASCS. Thanks to all and see ya at the races....
