Rumor has it that the Jackson Speedway is officially for sale to all bidders. If so, really sad to see another one of the great tracks possibly going away or just a specials only track.

Its true it is for sale, sounds like Todd Quiring and Jon Mccorkel (track promoter) are the ones trying to buy it. There will be some changes but most xciting is they want to run more sprintcar shows !!

Used to be all super modifieds then sprints and 6 cylinder sprints. VFW was running it. I ran there a couple of years back in late 70's and early 80's. They ran a good show. Back then it was 317's the big class. Had a lot of cars. I guess you called them supers, they was old coupe bodys with the injected motors. Lot of good memories and a lot of good drivers. Used to be with Joel Taylor once in a while. I'm sure people remeber Joel # 91

Don't be sad! If Tod gets the deal done Jackson Speedway will be back on the map again!

It's not a great track. I like it, but it's not a great track. Needs higher banking. I'm not a fan of 1/2 miles but no small track in the area runs a weekly sprint show, just Redwood and Jackson.

I've said this many times so if you've read it before ignore it.

Turns 3 & 4 are fine, actually pretty good.

Turns 1 & 2 are bad. The lack of a fence and the bowl in the bottom make for little to no passing at the east end of the track.

Redo 1 & 2 to be a copy of 3&4 and the racing would improve greatly.

See in my eyes 1&2 are better than 3&4. It is much harder to pass through 3&4 than 1&2. Yes 1 does have a hole but so does 3, when 3 gets the car's bouncin through the hole it usually makes the outcome much worse. JMO

Someone just buy it and make it a Deer Creek for Sprint Cars instead of mods. I bought my Powerball ticket tonight. I'll buy the whole town when I win.

Damn I guess all those saturday nights at I90 in hartford and Sundays at Husets oh and the wingless shows at Rocky on friday those arent weekly shows??? Jackson is a great track, always has been there is alot of history there. Other tracks have gone to Bmods and A mods and hobby's cause there are so mant out there but I do know alot of drivers that are all over the upper midwest going to shows.

Jackson is an hour away from me. I can't just pick up and go on a Sunday night to Husets. If I could I would but that would be four hours on the road to go watch a weekly show. And no, Jackson is not a great track. Do you remember seeing the Outlaws there in 2010? I think there were like 20 flips on the front straight away. Like everyone has said, just bank the corners better...add walls etc. If they're going to keep it a half mile why not model it after Eldora or some other big track that seems to work.
