What happened to the lexan wings? Were they cheaper or more expensive. Were they as durable ? Any one rember the plastic rims?

we ran Marsh plastic rims for about 2-3 years at knoxville. They really did help save the rest of car in wrecks. We taged wall hard with r. rear and it broke rim, but did not bend jacobs later or t. arm. I think the reaon Knoxville outlawed them because after a crash there would be broken parts of rim on track, and they really did not understand them. Jack Hewett ran them for a year or so. . If I remember correct RR were $298.00 each. They have come back in minisprints in last 2 years. We never had a single rim fail except in a crash.
