I was personally always a Wolfgang fan every since i saw my first sprint car race he was a cool cat and hid his frustrations and drive for winning by being able to talk to crowds, fans, and of course other drivers. And I can proudly say many drivers along the way I had a chance to call friends. I always cheered against Swindell and Kinser because my cousins cheered for them it was much like the Chevy vs Ford and Mopar where you fight amongst friends about whos better. But these days now that Wolfie retired I find myself a Swindell fan because he represents the greatness of the era of sprint car racing I grew up with. I dont understand how people just hate on Sammy I mean the guy just is just as intense on the track as he was when he was younger sure he makes some moves that lose some fans along the way but you have to respect a guy thats over 50 and still showing the kids the way around the track. I have heard stories that when Swindell is away from the race track you cant get him to stop talking but around the race track he is an introvert personality which simply means when your talking to him or saying hi or even getting an autograph hes simply thinking in his mind how can i make my car faster. Im sure the original posters on here that didnt like Sammy's finger gestures can understand when your in traffic on a road or a highway and someone boxes you in or cuts you off, you dont simply smile and admire it you yell, or give them the one finger salute as well. Your not gonna go strap into a race car to race for second when 10 grand is on the line and your addrenalin is up im sure its pretty easy to lose your cool. One day Sammy will retire much like Kinser and you think things changed when Wolfie exited the stage they will all be missed along with many of the greats in the sport.

Yea you right Pizzadude. These guys are racers, not choirboys. I get mad in traffic all the time, & I'm not risking my life at 100+ mph. Flipping someone off is nothing. Endangering other drivers is another story.

And I live in Denver! So sick of hearing about this guy. A great competitor & college QB, but nowhere near guys like Brees, Rodgers, Brady, etc.
Broncos changed their whole offense to a college style option game to suit Tebow. There's a reason pros don't run this offense: it doesn't work!

Actually that style of offense could be very successful. The problem is its hard to keep a QB healthy that runs a lot, and Tebow can only complete 45% of his passes.

Tebow is proof every sport will have fans that hate good players, mean or overly nice, no matter what their personality or playing traits are.

Like flipping off another driver has never happened before....give me a break. Hell, just the other day there was a photo posted of one driver flipping off two drivers behind him and everyone thought it was funny as hell. The below photo of a driver flipping off an guy in the infield and again it was funny. Now Sammy does it and it is terrible. Give me a break.

Not funny....drivers a jerk, fans a jerk....not funny.....GIVE ME A BREAK!

Lawlessness + liberalism = HELL - NYC, Detroit, Chicago,
