I think the whole racing community, especially in this area where the family has the upmost respect for the family as a whole, is totally numb and speechless. This is totally unbelievable and sad.
R.I.P. Mr. Crawford - you will be missed by everyone both on and off the racetrack.

People at the Chili Bowl report that they have his car covered up and lots of thoughtful people going by and giving their condolences to his crew.
Sad day for racing.

At the Chili Bowl, they've yet to make an official announcement. I'm good frinds with the Crawford family, very sad day.

From what i read he was shot by his Grandfather on his mothers side. His mother was also shot but only being wounded, then shot and killed her father for Killing Donnie Ray and shooting her.

Just got back from the Chili Bowl - where there was a very touching tribute for DRC prior to tonight's mains.
A request has been sent to this board's administrator to remove the offending user (as neither Allan nor I can do that). I had already deleted the same post from the user twice earlier this afternoon before leaving for Tulsa.

Forget the racing, this is simply a sad and tragic human story. Condolences to the Crawford family and I hope that they can find some peace after this series of horrible events.
