Scotty Cook joins Slinging Mud on Racetalkradio.com
Long time dirt track announcer Scotty Cook has joined Slinging Mud as its host.

Scotty Cook, Columbia, Mo.

Cook brings assorted media experience that he’s developed since a childhood spent following his grandparent’s team. An avid fan of the sport and its personalities, Cook changed from chasing races across the country to reporting when he began helping notable World of Outlaws announcer Johnny Gibson in the mid-1990s.

After catching a break by working for the TNN broadcast at the 1996 Knoxville Nationals, Cook was part of the TNN Motorsports production crew from 1996-2000 when he covered various World of Outlaws and NHRA events across the country. Within the past decade Cook has been the announcer at Capital Speedway (Holts Summit, Mo.), Missouri State Fair Speedway (Sedalia, Mo.), Central Missouri Speedway (Warrensburg, Mo.), Lake Ozark Speedway (Eldon, Mo.) and with the Winged Outlaw Warriors.

Most recently, Cook has worked with Racinboys to cover the ASCS National Tour during stints the past three seasons and has been a pit reporter for the famed Chili Bowl the past five years.
