The announcer could not log on to tidbits and asked me to post this. This is the Statement that was on the Facebook page.

"Setting the record straight. The BMS is NOT closing it's doors. We will be racing this 2012 season and many more to come. If you have a question or want to know ask us. The rules should be posted on the website soon, if not already. "

Rules on the website still say USRA and 2011. Is BMS going to be a USRA track again this season? Thanks

It is my UNDERSTANDING, that we will NOT be USRA sanctioned this year. That is NOT to say we will not be using their rules for Mods. Again this is my understanding from what Mark has said. It is also my understanding that our rules and Ada's rules for the classes we both run will be the same. As soon as Mark gets all the rules hammered out, I will try to let everyone know. I attended the mini-stock rule meeting, and I'm excited about some of the changes being made in that division. ALL the finer points have not been hammered out yet, but look for this to be a much more closely contested class, where mini's from other tracks can come and be competitive, and where entry-level drivers can "cut their teeth" without spending a fortune. As I said, all the rules have not been hammered out, but one thing I can tell you, there will be a STREET TIRE rule, (no racing tires, not even DOT's), and you'll be running on 20lbs of air in those street tires. This should even out the "big engine" and "little engine guys". Full rules will be available on the website SOON!!
