GREG ALEXANDER AND CHUCK TYLER MOVING UP TO 410 RACING WITH USAC/CRA IN 2012!

(Gardena, CA, December 22, 2011) Southern California Sprint Car driver Greg Alexander and car owner Chuck Tyler are pleased to announce that they have acquired a 410 Mopar engine to race in the Amsoil USAC/CRA Series at Perris Auto Speedway in 2012. In addition to racing at The PAS, they are currently trying to secure sponsorship to run other races in the nine-year-old series.

"I can't wait to go out there and see what we can do," the 22-year-old said while preparing for Christmas at his Gardena, California home on Wednesday night. "It is a good car and a good motor so we are going to try to run with the best of them this year and see if we can give them some heck. We planning on running all of the races at Perris and possibly run Calistoga. It would be a big deal for me to run a big racetrack like Calistoga."

Last year, Alexander drove the John Belegante #23 in Amsoil USAC/CRA action at The PAS and he gave the top teams a run for their money. Included was opening night when he out qualified the 27-car field.

"I want to thank John Bellegante," Alexander said. "He has definitely got me to where I am at as far as 410 experience. I cannot thank John, Jerry Leet and Gail Forester enough for everything they have done for me the last two years. I really appreciate it."

Alexander's main focus in 2011 was the USAC West Coast 360 Series. There, driving Tyler's #72, he finished seventh in the standing despite missing two races. While focusing on 410 racing for 2012, Alexander and Tyler do plan on competing in the West Coast 360. "It (running the 360 series) is going to be very limited, because we are putting all of our efforts into the 410 deal," he said. "We are going to wait until about the middle of the season so we can get our funds back together to get the 360 freshened up."

Thus far, the team has five sponsors lined up for 2012. Oil Twins Amsoil, Barnes Systems, King Racing Products, Sander Engineering and Scott Daloisio Sports. They are currently looking for more. If you would like to be a part of this potential main event winning team in 2012 please call Greg Alexander at: (714) 610-4566.

CONGRATULATIONS GREG!!!! This is certainly a Christmas present you can celebrate. The combination of Greg's driving skills and the Tyler #72 car will be consistently running up front at The Pas. Good luck finding some funding to race the full season.
