Carbarater, Carburetor, Carberatur, you pick the spelling you like, but if you want to know how they flow then ask Steve Adkins at Big G Carbs.

Steve has been in and around racing for 30 years as a driver, car owner, IMCA track official and now a carbarater specialist.

I saw the piece on the driver wanting a carb for his hobby stock so since we have been doing tech talks I thought their is the phone number why not call the guy so I did.

I think you will agree their is some interesting information in this video, just getting to see and watch Steve put the flow bench through it's duties was fun and enlightening.

Will you be buying one of those air breathers, really makes you think about it I bet?
You can call Steve at 816-517-6262.

Thanks to Steve Adkins for his time and also Mark Soulis for the help behind the camera. Enjoy.

Nice video. Dude is about 5-6 years behind Willy's and Braswell and many other carb builders. His magical base plate has been around for years at Smiley's for $14.95. His lid theory is ok for a Rodchester, but for Holley 500cfm carb the extreme lid shows better numbers on the chassis dyno. His filter element discovery is flawed as you see in the video. One test its the Wix paper element that flows better then its the K&N element that flows better. Truth be told what element flows best depends greatly on what kind of car you have and how the air enters the car from under the hood. Chassis dyno's are good indicators of how this works. Funny how he acts like he is really on to something and is hesitant to show his secrets. lol
