Looks like a pretty busy schedule and they have done a good job in most cases of putting 2 shows together in an area. Hopefully there are still more nights to be added to go with the stand alone weekend.

Was hoping to see the big E on the National schedule
and I don't see the Lone Star Nationals at Kilgore on there, at least not yet.

"The increased volume of race dates is largely a result of a revised purse structure that now finds single-night weekend events and the final night of two-night shows at $4,000 to win and $400 to start. A 30% decrease in the one-night purse and 21% decrease in the two-night total is greatly outweighed by a notable increase from 22 nights of competition to 55 nights of action outside of the traditional ASCS Knoxville Nationals, Short Track Nationals and Western World Championships events.
A flat amount of $500 tow money per night for each team among the top ten in points will also prove beneficial for full-time teams pursuing the $60,000 championship share."

Just glad they are racing at silver dollar next year! That should be an awsome show. Placerville too probably.

Valley Speedway and US 36! I've already got those dates on the calendar! Last year the Warrior region put on some great shows at Valley and the Warrior's and Midwest region are always amazing at US 36! Glad I'll get to see the National guys at more races this year!

Checkered48 - you are little more than a cheerleading chode looking for any opportunity to talk up 410 racing while talking down 360 racing. standing on a peg about who cuts what and somehow it's better to cut a point fund than a purse.....apples and oranges. you've been on here doing this shit for as long as I can remember seeing your name on here.
It is mindless noobs like you that would wrap your arms around a 25 car WoO show with half of those being outright field fillers - while ignoring a 50+ car ascs show where dozens have a legit chance of winning and the quality of racing is just as good - if not better (and more of it obviously).
I still don't think that the quality of 410 racing is that much better than 360 racing. Hell, most of the time I think Non Wing 600 mini sprints are better than both of them (honestly has more to do with track prep than anything)......I just want to see the trend turn the other direction. tired of seeing tracks close and less cars at those that stay open.

Some areas of the country do not run the ASCS heads which I understand are mandatory for one of their national tour races. We saw them once in Minnesota, took a day and a half off work and drove to NCS, 18 cars and only a handful that weren't familiar. It was a decent show but considering all that is available throughout the summer if I had it to do over I'd have used the vacation and travel for something else. I'm not anti-ASCS or 360, just saying that in certain areas of the country they bring some good drivers but not enough outside support to make it work. In some areas of the country it would be hard to sell rule changes that are going to cost teams money for only a couple races.

Everyone has their own opinion. I also grow tired of people making the "360" the greatest thing ever. The WoO puts out a schedule with 75 + dates with a minimum 10K to win and they get bashed. The ascs cuts the purse significantly and lets the point drivers "vote" themselves a tow raise. So now everyone else races for less money except the handful of point drivers, so how is this better for the majority of racers? We could argue all day over this, bottom line is we all like what we like and that's what makes the world go round. If I had it my way it would be a more "runwatchabrung" race with LESS rules. I grew up going to races around the OK area back in the 70's and 80's. What used to be a hot bed for sprintcars is slowly dwindling away, tracks and sprintcars. I often wonder how OK would be if they still had Sprintcars instead of the labeled "360" sprintcars. I for one will continue to follow the best and not the rest.

Oh no, now the cheerleaders are in a catfight. I don't know either one, but my money is on checkered48 to tear off OKCFan12's top and then the silly teachers will step in and break this one up before anyone sees any real skin.

I think it is a double edge sword here. If they didn't cut the purse then they continue at 30-35 shows and people complain that it is not a real series. So they make changes to the purse structure to benefit the promoters and the series with the feedback from the racers and now have over 50 shows. The $500 tow money is inline with what they have paid in previous years but they used to have a smaller amount like $250 per car for 11-15 in points. I think the one thing that will happen with the larger schedule is you will not see the National guys running the regional races at a lesser purse.
Atleast the National guys can still run whenever and wherever they want and not be penalized.
