The last year Billy Anderson raced at Knoxville, Was he driving a car owned by Harold Annette. It seemed to me like he had BARSOL Chhemicals on the wing (Not TMC)

In 1998, his last race was on June 13. He drove the Kain #1K in the 360 and 410 classes that year...

The car driver I was thinking of with the "BARSOL" chemical on the wing was Danny Young! Did he drive for Harold Annette?

Jenny remarried a few years after he passed away but she's still involved in the graphics business. They still have a Billy Anderson Memorial each year sanctioned by the UMSS. They were having the show at Cedar Lake but switched it over to Princeton. Not sure what the status is this year but I assume they'll have one again.

Neither driver ever drove for Annett, to my knowledge.

I don't remember Danny Young driving for anyone other that the family 3Y car,, they came up and ran a few of our shows in Owatonna but it was always the family car,, If I remember right, I think that Danny ran against Mark Wilson in Grandpa Bob's car at the fair show in Owatonna,,, sure would have been nice to see those two young ones grow old racing each other. Didn't Archie Ergenbright (sp) run a 360 small wing TMC car for Arnett at K-ville in the 80's?

Danny drove for Gil Sonner in the Strange Performance 47 for a year or two. Who could forget him running Des Moines and Knoxville the same night, using a helicopter back and forth! AWESOME! Hesmer had a TMC sponsored car, and then drove for Archie after he came back from a hiatus.

Yeah, that's right. Now that you mention it I do remember Danny driving the Sonner 47, They had Kevin Doty in the 47 the year that Young and Wilson were up here at Owatonna.
Thanks for clearing up the connection for me on the TMC 360, I remembered Archie was connected in some way, just with a former driver.
Thanks!
Brian

I remember Archie @ Ed Ergenbright racing a red number 11, Seems to me they both were pretty competitive, I remember Archie getting into the front stretch fronce pretty hard at Knoxville (seems like early 90's) That crash may have been the last time he raced.

Ed was one of my favorite drivers back in the day, Seems like it was back in the days when Tony Norem was running Knoxville in the B1st, Norem was my fav back then.

A side note, Billy drove the B1st up here around the Twin Cities before heading down to Knoxville. Norem followed him in that ride. Sprint85 can fill in the details.
