How much do they get to go to race to race ? With all the money behind TSR and KKR wouldnt they be better off not to sign a contract and race a few times when there are no WOO races and have fun?

2012 ASCS Nat sanction fees include $5000 on a prelim and $5000 on the second night for tow money. I believe these monies are meant for the top 10 in points in 2012. I do not know the tow money reserved for a single night show.

You could almost be like a start and park team for that kind of money. Not bad .

i think you are confused.

i don't believe the top 10 teams each get 5k for tow money.

i believe there may be 5k distributed between the top 10 teams in points. that would be $500 per team.

hardly start and park type money. and actually i think you don't have to start to get tow money. just show up, or show up and unload.

also i am not sure if you have to remain in the top 10 to get the tow money or if it is awarded to the top 10 car owners in points from the year before.

Doesn't last years champion, Jason Meyers, also get some show up money too for each event? I think I read somewhere that the current champion gets like $500-$1,000/show. Not positive on this.

For what i have heard with the Outlaws it all depends on who you are. I have heard of full time drivers getting 250 and some 1000. I also know like in 2006 they paid more money to have guys stay and not go to NST

if i am not mistaken on a multiple day show teams get the $500 or what ever tow money for the first night, then something like half for the second or third day. they used to get the full amount for every night.

I thought it was TOW MONEY? Why would they get more TOW money if they're already there. Wouldn't they need to TOW something the 2nd or 3rd night?

do it in the dirt

they get tow money for every night, or at least they used to. doesn't matter if you are already there, you get money for each race. that is why it was nice to have a 3 day show and get tow money for each night.

like i said, i think they cut the tow money down for the second and third nights of multiple day events.

I enjoy good racing but I have traveled thousands of miles to watch Steve, Sammy, Jason Meyers, Joey Saldana and Donny Schatz. These guys ARE the STARS of all Sprint Car Racing! Sorry 410James, the All Stars put on a great show but they don't have the name drivers to compete with WOO. That's why WOO shows sell out bigger shows.

I believe from what I've heard Buzz is right day two tow money is less than day 1. However, they don't have to travel, but they do have to have a place to stay, so tow money would be for hotel for day 2.

With the top 10 (or is it 15) WoO the booking promoter has to pay for the hotel rooms for those teams. Not sure how many or specifics about what hotel / how many / etc but I do recall that being a requirement of the booking promoter for a WoO event.

Wouldn't it make sense for two lower budget teams to combine their resources and travel out of one hauler? I'm surprised this doesn't happen more often.

So what makes a WOO team eligible to be a Gold or Platinum member?

Usually see it with some modified guys , like on dirt knights.

i don't know how realistic that is, but i know it would make for an interesting ride down the road if one of those teams happened to crash the other!

kind of hard though to get at least 4 cars, 2 mules, 2 four wheelers and other stuff for two teams into one featherlite.
