This story was on ibracn web site. I thought everyone would like to see this.
StRONG RUMOR - I received an email from a friend down in Australia that said there is an article in the Daily Telegraph Newspaper in Sydney, AU that Brooke Tatnell will be returning to the WoO tour in 2012. The article states that "Brooke will field his own privately funded team to contest the prestigous 65 fixture World of Outlaws US Chapmionship."
Great news for all Tatnell fans if this is true. I have searched on the Daily Telegraph web site for the story to provide a link but have yet to find it

It would be nice to see Brooke in a car full time with the Outlaws. He has always struck me as a class act. Good luck to him in 2012.

That would be great but the likely hood of the Daily Telegraph doing such a story is very low as speedway is not a mainstream sport here and only gets a mention when big crashes are reported and safety is questioned .I can not find any such article and one would assume it would`nt be that hard to find .I hope it is real would awesome to see him over there for a full season.

I researched the Sydney telegraph back every issue for the past week,no can find anything, just super cars and F1 stuff. The way it appears from some rumors ,just rumors, the WRG,might need every car they can get to fill the fields, wouldn't it be something that Knoxville might only need one night to qualify...due to short car counts, scary thought.

I'd love to see this happen, but have strong doubts that it is true. With two little ones at home, and knowing the family a little bit, I don't think Amy would be happy touring the country for extended periods in a motor home, and I don't think Brooke would want to be away from them for extended periods. (I assume he will be in Australia for several months again this year, and with Emma now in school .....) Of course, with good access to a major airline hub, he could do a lot of flying out and not be gone more that a week or so at a time, and the WOO doesn't do a huge number of midweek shows any more. Keeping my fingers crossed, although I would miss seeing him in some of the local races.

Yes, Brooke was interviewed for a Sydney paper here in Australia HOWEVER, there was no mention of funding our own World of Outlaw Team for 2012... that would not be financially possible for us. Brooke Tatnell racing is in need of sponsorship for the 2012 season and would love to run full time with the Outlaws again but we are unsure what type of schedule we will have for the season. Please check back on our facebook page for updates direct from Brooke Tatnell Racing. Thank you!!! Big G Man send us your email if you can.

Brooke is a smart guy and an even better family man, he has his priorities set in life and he had a wonderful teacher in George. It would be great to see somebody (like a Caseys) step up and help this young man because few out there offer there sponsor as much as he does. My daughter met many, many drivers over the years and to this day still asks about one of them, Brooke. All the very best mate.....

Well, to set the record straight from my end....in a little "short shots" section in the Monday, November 28, 2011 edition of the Daily Telegraph the following was published....and I quote
"Australian Sprintcar Champion Brooke Tatnell has erased doubts of competing in America in 2012 by declaring he will contest next year's US championship. Tatnell, 40, will field his own privately funded team to contest the prestigious 65-fixture World of Outlaws US title. The championship trail, which scrosses 32 states from coast to coast, begins early next year. Tatnell, son of speedway legend George Tatnell, faces a touch campaign against the heavily sponsored American sprintcar teams."
This is what I reported on....take it for what it is worth.

Tatnellfamily, unless you changed your e-mail address, you should have a note from me that will give you my e-mail address. I guess I'll have to join the younger crowd and find out about this thing called "facebook" so I can stay current.

His wife Amy is a sister of sprint car star Jerry Richert Jr, son and daughter of sprint car legend Jerry Richert, I think?
PS to my signature line in response to the Luna guy: "and Don O'Neal's Late Model, powered by a Mastersbilt Chevrolet captures the 2011 Knoxville Nationals and wraps up the title in the Lucas Oil LM series. also 99% of all your local track racer's street stockers, A- Mods, B-Mods, small block dirt mods, big block dirt mods, limited late models, unlimited late models and winged and non-winged sprint cars use Chevy power; PS - you could count on one hand the number of non-bowtie engines in the three-class field of 141 Charlotte Final's night entrants as well as the Knoxville Nationals Late Model race" What started in 1955 (265 C.I.) GM built small block # 100 million sometime last summer.
Lawlessness and liberalism equals Hell. NY City,
Detroit, Seattle, Chicago, Minnepolis, etc. We saw it.
Burning hundreds of buildings, a thousand assaults and
dozens of murders. Getting worser and worser.
