While it is a bit inconvenient we will save the $5.00 parking fee for the dual show. That should provide those that imbibe a little for beer money.

RAIN POSTPONES FRIDAY PORTION OF OVAL NATIONALS TO SATURDAY!

(Perris, CA, November 3, 2011) Round #2 of the 16th Annual Budweiser Oval Nationals, slated for tonight at Perris Auto Speedway, has been postponed due to rain and rescheduled for Saturday afternoon. After the Friday rained out show is completed, the grandstands and pits will be cleared and both gates will reopen for the regularly scheduled Saturday show.

The pit gate will open at 10:00 AM and the spectator gates will open at noon for the Friday makeup show. Racing will begin at 1:40. The makeup show will remain unchanged and will include qualifying, heats, C, B and A main for the USAC Amsoil National & CRA Sprint Cars. The California Lightning Sprint Cars will contest three heats. The makeup show will close with the running of the $10,000.00 win Legend's of Ascot Match Race.

Saturday's show has been changed. It will now consist of a C main for cars 29th in points and back. The B main will feature cars 13th to 28th in points. The top 12 cars in points will be seeded directly to the A main. The California Lightning Sprint Cars will also contest their season ending main event. Both the spectator gate and the pit gate will open at 5:00 PM for the regularly scheduled Saturday show.

It is ridiculous that the format on this race is being changed. The rules and format for this race have been posted for weeks. This changes the complextion of the event. It also shorts the fans the opportunity to watch qualifying and heat races that they were expecting to see during the Saturday event.

JMO, but I am sure others will agree.

This is going to make it real hard for anybody who didn't make the main on night 1 to earn enough points on night 2 to make the 40 lap race.

..no point's and your running 1 B main for 4 spots....or C main

Wonder why the change.Seems like you get it in either way.Only now Saturdays show won't have all that rad racing with more opportunity for drivers. Heck if you run crappy in the early show load up ,because why would you stay to run just the C...

..basically sat show is back to 3 races...bummer

This is B.S.!!! My friends and I purposely changed our plans from going on Thursday night to going on Saturday night because they were going to run a full schedule on Saturday night. I have gone to the Oval's on Saturday nights in the past and the show sucks because of the lack of racing and the huge wait time between mains. For $30 (which is way to much) I expect to see qualifying, heats, and mains. I would assume that his is falling on def ears, but it's never to late to keep the program as it was originally planned. The promoter needs to remember that without us paying fans, they won't have a show. Do the right thing for us paying fans and run the full show please!

Yep, you just ruined it! The format you had initially created was going to provide an awsome show and insure everyone gets their money's worth. Can you please explain the decision to change the format?

Man, I'm fuming about this. I can't see any reason what so ever to change the program, other then the promoter is hoping to get us to come out to both shows tomorrow, thus spending $55.

Dear PAS, Do the right thing and keep the show the way you originally sold it.

P.S. - I was bringing a bunch of friends to their first race, as I sold them on what a great show it was going to be. Guess what, they aren't very excited to go anymore and more then likely they won't. frown

It sucks. frown Did anyone mention how bad a daytime show is especially with 50 plus sprint cars, lightning sprints, plus all the races they are gonna run. Me personally cancel the day races, and stick with the format for Saturday night. Otherwise I'm staying home, but I'm guessing the PAS has bigger concerns than me. Have fun guys at the dust races during the day and the 3 drawn out races during the evening. Smile

Because of over whelming response to modifying Saturdays format I have decided to go with the original format that we advertised and promoted over the past few months. This is what the fans want and we are going to give it to them!
Thanks,
Don Kazarian
