Bud Kaeding Eyes Fourth Oval Nationals Crown

Bud Kaeding Eyes Fourth Oval Nationals Crown

PETERSEN MEDIA- With three Oval Nationals titles already on his resume, Campbell, CA driver, Bud Kaeding, will look to pick up number four as the USAC Sprint Cars invade the Perris Auto Speedway in Lake Perris, CA for three nights of heart stopping action.

Kaeding has been on a terror as 2011 winds down as he has picked up five top-three finishes to close out the season. With none of the podiums being wins, Kaeding is looking to break back into victory lane in Perris.

“I love the Oval Nationals,” explained Bud. “We’ve been pretty good at that race and think we have a great shot to pick up another win down there.”

Kaeding has had success at this event as he scored Oval Nationals titles in 2001, 2002 and his most recent triumph, in 2007.

While Kaeding has bounced around the country racing winged cars, and the USAC West Coast series, his most recent USAC National Sprint Car race, the 4-Crown Nationals at Eldora, Kaeding was forced out of the event with a mechanical failure while running in the fifth spot.

During the 2010 Oval Nationals, Kaeding finished sixth aboard his BK Motorsports No. 29 entry.

Bud Kaeding would like to thank Kaeding Performance, Sprint Car Innovations, Alviso Rock, BZE, Factory Kahne Shocks, Racing Optics, K&N Filters, Yak Graphics, ButerBuilt, and Brown and Miller for their continued support in 2011.

ON TAP: Bud will now shed the wing and head to Paris, CA for the Oval Nationals on November 3-5.

Not to take the wing drivers side, but didn't TK lead quite a bit of the Oval National final in 2007 before fading with 10 or so to go, and eventually blowing a right front? Not bad for a guy who cannot or will not drive without a wing.........

Not sure what you meant Randy, but I'll be in tomorrow sometime, probably before 1:00.
