Mike Henry blasted the field again at Petaluma Saturday night June 2nd winning from his 8th starting spot. Henry also was fast qualifier. Only a 4th place finish in his heat prevented a clean sweep.

The #03 of Bailey gets the jump on the start and leads the 1st lap. The #20 of Henry quickly moves into 4th crossing the line to complete the 1st lap motoring by the #6c of Parady and the #14 of Merrel. Parady goes under Merrel low in turn 1 on lap 3 to take 5th. The #4 of Albineri exits on lap 3.Parady starts losing air pressure in the right rear as he takes the white flag, but holds off Merrel to keep the 5th spot. Bailey wins this one easily.

The #96 of Backholm scheudled to start front row outside elects to go the rear moving the #25B of Baxter to the 2nd starting spot. #43 of Terrel grabs the lead in turn 2 getting inside the #25B of Baxter and pushing him up towards the wall. The #2B of Dothage quickly follows as Baxter settles into 3rd. Lap 3 - Learn falls back to 6th as Pyle and Kirby get by. Backholm departs track on lap 4. No change in the running order of 43,2B.25B, 57x. 10x, 2L. Kirby pressures Pyle for 4th spot for the remaining 4 laps, but is unable to get by. Top 3 stretch out and run single file to the finish.

Initial start called back as the #19 of McCarthy leaves too early. 2nd attempt sees McCarthy get the jump on the #29 of Mendes. The #48k of Simpson goes high in turn 1 to pass the #4 of Adam McCarthy. The next lap sees Simpson drift high in 4 and Adam McCarthy and Benson take advantage and make the pass for 3rd and 4th. The #7 of Ringo to the pits on lap 4. Art McCarthy pulls away as Adam McCarthy pressures Mendes heavily over the final 4 laps, but cannot get by.

Initial start called back as the front row put the hammer down ahead of the cone. 2nd start saw Simpson jump into the lead with Henry taking advantage at the flag stand by jumping outsside Benson and quickly climbing up to the the 5th spot. Rollag passes Baxter to move into 2nd. 1st yellow comes out for the #56 of Arriaga as spins out in the middle of turn 3 and 4 on lap 2.
Learn and Backholm to the pits during the yellow.
Line up is 48k, 27, 25B, 10x, 20, 6c, 77, 2B, 03, 3x, 4, 43, 29, 19 3, 14, 47x, 7, 56, 4x
Restart sees Henry use the high side of turn 1 to get around Kirby and Baxter and grab 3rd and start chasing Rollag. Simpson continues to lead. Lap 4 sees the only red of the evening when the #3x of Geving and the #43 of Terrel both end upside down in turn 1 with Terrel breaking through the crash wall and landing on the other side. Neither driver was hurt, but both were finished for the night. It was really too bad for Terrell who was on a hot streak winning the Saturday night Memorial weekend Antioch race and an impressive 9th place finish the following day at the Civil War fair race at Chico and also for Henry as he saw his fine pass a lap earlier taken away. Geving saw some bad luck continue as she also flipped at the previous Petaluma race 2 weeks earlier tangling with Mike Henry. Restart -48k, 27, 10x, 25B, 20, 6x, 77, 2B,03,4, 29, 3, 19, 56, 14, 57x, 7, 2L (returns), 4x - restart sees Henry quickly by Baxter in turn 2 as Simpson continues to lead over Rollag. Baxter loses momentum in turn 3 trying to get around the #4x of Albineri and Parday, Benson, and Dothage all get by on the low side. Lap 7 sees Henry gun by Kirby in turn 1 and follows it up with a backstretch pass of Rollag. Rollag tries to return the favor high in turn 4, but Henry beats him to the spot and holds off Rollag. Lap 9 yellow for the #7 of Ringo who comes to a halt on the backstretch. Albineri also stops in turn 3 during the yellow and both would depart on the hook. Restart - 48k, 20, 27, 10x, 6c, 77, 2B, 4, 29, 25B, 3, 56, 03, 14, 57x, 2L - Henry swoops under Simpson in turn 1and into the lead and quickly begins to pull away. The #4 of Adam McCarthy is now on the move passing Dothage, Benson, and Parady to move into 5th. Lap 13 sees the leader enter lapped traffic while McCarthy continues the march forward passing Kirby and then on lap 14 using a low move in turn 2 to get by Rollag and into the 3rd spot. Lap 20 sees the final yellow for Pyle as he stops against the wall in turns 3 and 4 and is done for the night. Restart - 20, 48k, 4, 27, 10x, 6c, 77, 2B, 19, 29, 3, 56, 03, 14, 25B, 2L - Henry quickly blasts out to the lead. Adam McCarthy passes Simpson low in turn 1 to grab 2nd and begin the futile chase of Henry. McCarthy gets bottled up behind a backmarker on lap 23 and Rollag closes in as Simposn pulls into the infield with a bum motor. Henry pulls way for the win and McCarthy holds on to an impressive run to 2nd with Rollag a hard charging 3rd and Benson clsoing to finish 5th. Nice run for Kirby as held down the 4th spot in his best run this season..
Hard chargers for the night were Shawn Arriaga up 8 spots up from his 18th starting and Henry 7spots to win from 8th. The McCarthy's also gained 7 positions. Adam up from 9th to 2nd and Art from 14th to 7th.
Nest race is June 9th - 410 Golden State Challenge. The 360's are off until June30th.
