I think it is a done deal it just hasn't been announced yet. That is the same car (team) and the same sponsors that were on it when Shane Stewart drove it up in Canada for the Canadain nationals. The car was destroyed at a WoO race later that month...but same sponsors.

The story about Stevie Smith joing Meyer's team was in both Flat Out and Sprint Car and Midget magazine a year ago. Guess it is coming true.
Lawlessness and liberalism equals Hell. NY City,
Detroit, Seattle, Chicago, Minnepolis, etc. We saw it.
Burning hundreds of buildings, a thousand assaults and
dozens of murders. Getting worser and worser.

How can this poor poor underfunded one car team field a two car team? I mean, really, isn't part of the appeal of them winning a second Outlaws championship the whole "David vs Goliath" image so many like to romantically cling to? Seriously. Is it possible that this team is just as well funded as the top 5 teams are. I'll let you in on a little secret: They are.

Since when was Jason Meyers' team an "underfunded" team? I've seen pictures of their shop, they are not! The End

It's just a way to get and keep fans on your side, appealing to the whole "The Big Boys Are Bullying Me" deal, much like the whole PA Posse vs. Outlaws deal is. Same thing on just a different scale.
My .02 cents
Just my $.02 worth.

I thought the 3 car Shane drove in Canada was Joe Gaerte's car.

Stevie Smith ran the Joe Gaerte 3g at the STN. If you look back over the years GLR Investments has been a regular sponsor on the 3g.

Who is lacking a clue here numbnuts? I haven't sold calendars in two years. And unlike many I stand behind what I post. If I post it and you don't agree with it you know who to get ahold of. What's your name, genius?

To be fair, i bet the operating budgets of KKR/TSR and Elite Racing are on different playing fields. I'm sure someone here could confirm or deny that.
Is it possible Smith will be running a R&D car for Meyers, maybe parts companies giving him different equipment to try with heavy discounts for Elite? Just a though.
