Bud Hopes to Better Trophy Cup Finish

Bud Hopes to Better Trophy Cup Finish

PETERSEN MEDIA- After strong runs over the final two weeks of the season, Bud Kaeding will now look to better his 8th place finish in the 2010 Trophy Cup, as he climbs back aboard the Brian Matherly /Sprint Car Innovations/Kaeding Performance No.19 for this years edition of the race in Tulare, CA.

Over the last two weekends Kaeding has been a threat to win in anything that he has hopped into.

Two weekends ago he ran second in the Matherly No.19 at Ocean Speedway, and tallied a fourth place finish in Tulare, CA, and last weekend he scored fourth in his first time in the Werbach Motorsports No.20 during the Ocean Speedway season finale.

With 80 cars in competition last year during the event, Kaeding tallied a stout eighth place finish overall in Trophy Cup points.

The Trophy Cup attracts the best in the business, and is a fan favorite for the unique format that is utilized.

It’s simple, the most points drivers accumulate, the deeper they start in the field. 80 cars then get dwindled down to the 24 best, in a 50-lap completely inverted shoot-out with the winner in overall points taking home the lions share of the purse.

“We’ve been way strong lately, and I’m really looking forward to this weekend,” said Bud. “Brian and the guys have given me really strong cars as of late and I think we will be pretty tough.”

Bud Kaeding would like to thank Kaeding Performance, Sprint Car Innovations, Alviso Rock, BZE, Factory Kahne Shocks, Racing Optics, K&N Filters, Yak Graphics, ButerBuilt, and Brown and Miller for their continued support in 2011.

ON TAP: Kaeding will now climb back behind the wheel of the Brian Matherly No.19 machine for this weekends Trophy Cup in Tulare, CA.
