Brian,

Great stuff ! Zink Pink lives. If you guys love this era of Indy Car racing when

as pokeyokie states "Real race cars and real race car drivers", competed on the dirt, and

on pavement in front engine cars, while coming from the bull rinks of America,

including Taft Stadium, and Olympic Stadium. You will love four books that deal

directly with this specific season including," Along For the Ride-A Love Story",

about Bob Sweikert the 1955 winner, written by his wife Dorie, The "Fabulous

50's" with the best pictures, and info by Dick Wallen, as well as" Vukovich" by

Bob Gates, and "To Indy and Beyond", The Life Of Racing Legend Jack Zink,

written by Dr. Bob L Blackburn.

I have seen photos on the RFTP website from the Zink ranch and museum (?). Many years ago I moved down south but plan to come home to visit sometime over the holidays. Zink's legend and his race cars were such a strong influence to this young gear head in the 1970's. Is there a public place to view his old race cars? I tried serching on Google and had no luck. Man, I would love to see those old machines that I loved so dearly as a youngster.

The only public place I know of is the INDY 500 museum. They have the Sweikert car

on display. The 1956 winning car is at the ranch, as well as several others. I know the

collection is private. But, during the Chili Bowl I know they have conducted tours in

the past.
