I thought it was very cool that Richard Vanderweerds USAC West Coast Sprint Car Championship was recognized by Dave Despain on Speeds Wind Tunnel. Nice picture from Wags!

Congratulations to Rich (and Jace and the whole Visalia crew) for running so consistently throughout the year. Congratulations may be in order to Chris Kearns, as well, for playing a significant role in moving towards a solution to the car count problems in both Central and Southern California... pretty evidently by playing ball with the wing car people up here and the 360 owners and drivers down south. Fans can now expect to see a sprint car =show= instead of a couple of heats and an underpopulated A Main... at Hanford, Tulare, Santa Maria and Perris. Word will get around, hopefully.
