Cool, always thought flagman was in control race start, finish, etc. Like double file restart .makes for more passing opportunities and I think more exciting to fans. 2 laps in work area once car reachs work area and cars are in order for restart, may be longer than 2 laps if cars are not in order, cars must be in order before 2 laps begin. I don't care how they do it as long as the show moves along. I'm just trying to make sure I don't get run over and that I line up a good photo when they go by. The rest of the details will take care of themselves.

Pat, that is exactly what I was going to say, be consistent and take notes from Doug Clark.

Restarts: Put a white chaulk line down coming out of turn 4. Put a row of green light along the inside or outside of turn 4. Everybody stays in line until the green lights come on. Leader sets the pace, but can't take off until he hits the line. Leader hits the line, flagman drops the green, all the green lights go on, and we're racing. Any jump is seen by all, and someone gets penalized.
ps use the orange cone to mark any bad spots in the parking lot pavement.

How 'bout- whichever class had the hardest time with starts, restarts, spins and line-ups the week before, starts all their races single file this week? Just sayin' .......

I dunno. How many fans do you lose if one class has a bad night and has a half a dozen restarts? If you think about it, once you have that first spin and a yellow, the cars are lining up single file anyway.
Conceivably, all you're changing is the first couple (maybe?) laps of a race bound to go to a single file restart after the first yellow anyway. What would really be the harm in starting any (and all?) races single file? It seems like it would save some time, and some wear and tear on the equipment.
The fast cars are still going to go forward, and a fast car is still going to win. Would it really hurt the fans, if more cars were still in one piece at the end of the race, and more cars would be back next week?
If you stopped to think about it, every class has some bad nights, as far as line-ups, restarts, spins, etc.... You wouldn't be singling out any one class. If all the classes ran smoothly the week before, let them all start two wide.
