If you'd like to see the behind the scenes 'build up' to the Oct. 13-15 LoneStar Sprint Nationals, a new webpage is now coming together.
Drivers that have pre-registered are starting to send in their pictures and even video clips of exactly what they are doing right now in preparations for next week's event.
This unique behind the scenes view already has driver entries from NM, TX and AR; and more content will be added as drivers submit it.
Then, next week as the race unfolds, the same page will be used to host driver interviews, race video clips and more.
Again, the page is just now coming together, so you will want to check it out often to see the latest updates and driver submissions.
The page also has a navigation bar that connects to the entire event website including event flyer, host hotels, camping info, driver pre-entries, sponsors & much more.
Please click: http://www.darinshort.com/SCNpics.html and bookmark it so you stay in the loop of all the LoneStar Sprint Nationals happenings...and enjoy!

In other LSN event news...
-There have been several recurring questions, which are answered on the event website, but I'll post them here as a convenience:
Q: How do I get tickets for the grandstand? A: They are not sold in advance. They can be purchased upon your arrival at the track. A 3-day pass is just $40, with individual night tickets priced economically at Thu $15, Fri $15 and Sat $20.
Q: Support classes running? A: None. There are two divisions at the LSN, Sprint Cars and RaceSaver Sprint Cars.
Q: Camping? A: Camping is available on a first-come, first serve basis beginning Thursday morning. Details are at the 'hotel/fan' page of the event website.
Q: Lodging? A: There's tons of options. We have 4 host hotels and there are over 100 properties in the Kilgore/Longview area. Click www.darinshort.com/SCNfans.html
Q: Putting down blankets? A: No blankets can be put down in the grandstand area until the stands open at 5pm on Thursday night. No 'blocking' of rows/sections allowed. No tarps.
Q: Pit parking time? A: Sam will start parking cars in their pit spaces on Thursday, as they arrive at the speedway.
Q: Pit times for fans? A: We will have the pits open for fans to go through on Thu-Fr-Sat from 9AM-2:45PM.
Latest sprint division entries:
11G Goodman, Mike Shawnee, OK TBA Norick, Lance Cave Creek, AZ 57 Stewart, Shane Bixby, OK 28 Swindell, Jeff Bartlett, TN 2 Dobesh, Bryan Sioux Falls, SD
A complete final 'early' entry list will be posted next Thursday. There are currently over 130 entries to this year's LSN.
Right now, the weather forecast is looking amazing, with daily highs in the mid-80's with sunny and dry conditions prevailing.

Throughout the day today (and this weekend) I'll be uploading live video, pictures and interviews on the Fan Zone page at www.darinshort.com/SCNpics.html of opening night from the LoneStar Sprint Nationals.
A video from 9AM was just posted and another is uploading right now.
I'll try to make updates as often as possible, so check the page often for the latest happenings!
Hope to see you here - it's an excellent weekend for sprint car racing: dry and 85 if the forecast for all 3 days!

Q. What, if anything, is being done to alleviate the fact that 27 sprint cars flipped on night 1 of this event?
Thankfully no ambulances were needed last night.
The greatest knowledge is to know that you know nothing
at all.
