Smith and Dewease decided to run at home where the real competition is. They didn't want to get rusty the weekend before the biggest paying race of the year.

You lump a whole coast together and that's ok but you always have to make a distinction about posse only being from central pa, nevermind the rest of the relatively small state... The fact that the posse had the outlaws in their state and they didn't race against them further reinforces the belief of 90% of sprint car fans that the posse are one track wonders. I don't feel that they are just one track wonders but as long as they skip a high paying show in their own state, that's what they will be considered. It's pretty simple really. Now for the bigger question of why I am wasting my time arguing online with a damn kid...

When a person from the west coast posts bragging about a California driver winning, it's going to be viewed as someone from California. Don't play dumb here, you're actually intelligent and have shown knowledge from your posts.

I never have or will live in Pennsylvania, but my posts are being viewed from the POV of a PA poster.

Racing for less AND against harder competition. You'd think they'd want to cherrypick against the Also-Rans. Haha

Wasn't it just a little more than a month ago that one of the Pro-Posse posters was stating that the Posse was gonna win the Knoxville Nationals for the second year in a row? Let's see, Tim Shaffer, from Western Pa. won in '10. Here, Western Pa. was counted as Posse land for that thread. Now, for this thread, Western Pa. is regarded as being part of Ohio. How does that work?

lol...okay. Right, use Cubic as a representation of the entire fan base that will pack into the Clip this weekend. Okay. You realize he posts this ridiculous stuff to get a rise out of people like you.

And just so we're clear here, it was another California poster that posted this week that PA is PA. So therefore...lol.

Nobody thinks Shaffer is Posse, but Cubes. End of discussion. Let's see how many more people use that as an example and then don't respond because they realize they are wrong.

I'm not wrong about anything here. And you are the one saying the entire West Coast is Calif. How wrong can you be about that? And as far as Cubes' posts go, ridiculous does not go far enough. How 'bout we try idiotic, moronic, juvenile..........now we're getting somewhere. I think most people do realize that the weekly racers in Pa. are good and they all seem to have just as good equipment as anyone with the Outlaws. And racing weekly at the Grove does give them a tremendous edge there because, from everything I've heard about the Grove, it's an odd track to set up for. Also, let's not forget about Montieth going to Knoxville (which I thought was great as a chance to actually see him run) and returning to Pa. basically as a whupped pup. It's not easy to venture into new turf as he learned.

I'm considering a fan from the west coast, evidently the northwest coast, who is gloating about California racing, as a California fan. Obviously, he's proud of California even though he doesn't live there.

As for Monteith, he can't even go to the other weekly track and run well. He was a DNQ at the Port Royal Tuscorora 50 2 weeks ago. He for the most part, I know he's won at Port once and maybe 1 other PA track, a 2-track trolley. Obviously, he wouldn't do well at Knoxville, I don't know why people keep using him as an example. It took him years to get comfortable at the Grove and Lincoln...and some will argue he still isn't even a threat to win when the Outlaws come to town...but that's a whole other argument.

Well here in Cali, our area is Northern california, but if the WOO went all the way down to Perris or el centro speedways, our guys would go down there (400+ miles away) to defend our turf (CA).

Would they go down there if there was a race within 25-50 miles paying 6,800 to win the same night? We'll never know. But financially, it makes no sense for a team to haul 5+ hours to Lernerville when they can race in their backyard for a good purse.

So if you know it's idiotic, moronic, and juvenile...how do you keep falling for it? Be nicer to yourself. Same equipment as the Outlaws? Their are several that have the same equipment as a Jason Sides or Lonnie Parsons type operation, just with 1/3 the spare parts. Greg Hodnett's truck AND trailer could probably fit in the back of a WoO rig. A lot of former Outlaw winners in PA that can't race every week, at least not competitively, because they don't have the equipment or budget to do it. I don't think that's outlaw level equipment. A lot of guys that have 1 strong engine, 1 brand new chassis, and 1 guy helping them work on the car. Anything happens, and they're done for the night. I watched Schatz use 3 motors to get to the the A-Main a year or two ago, nobody in PA can do that. I've been at an engine shop in PA where SIX motors came back at once from one WoO team to rebuild at once, nobody in PA has six motors, much less can return them at once.

It is harder to go on the road and win, no doubt, that doesn't explain why the WoO do it at every single track...but one. Losing on experience? Kinser and Swindell have run more races at Williams Grove then half the Posse field. They should be lapping the field by the logic I read here. They aren't. It's accepted that the WoO are the best by all but one person on here basically, and he's just doing it to bring the little kid out in ya.

I fully recommend you try a weekend at the Grove sometime. You may just enjoy it like everyone else on the board whose done it. I'd go to the west coast, but I've already gotten to see Kaeding, Walker, Allard, Meyers, Mcmahan, Solwold, Kahne, etc... run here. Pretty fortunate I suppose. Pretty sure drivers, teams, and fans from PA respect those guys every bit as much as you do. You think Kasey Kahne got to drive the 51 in July because he's cute? Instead of coming on here and blasting PA sprint car racing, I suggest supporting it more on your coast....if not, soon CA drivers won't have a place to race outside of PA.

You bring up several points...............

1). I do not try to reply to the Cubes' posts, I do read them though.

2). Yes, the biggest difference between the Posse and the Outlaws is the amount of spare parts, haulers and budget. But, the cars they put on the track are equally good.

3). I have not bashed the Pa. racing scene. If that's what you read, you are mistaken. I have always said they are damn good racers. I did mention Montieth at Knoxville and I hope he decides to come back in the near future and show just how good he can run. Also, I am not a West Coaster. I am about 4-5 hours from Knoxville where once a year you get to see some of the top dogs from both coasts and in the middle.

4). I would like to venture out East sometime although I do not think finances will allow for it. I generally make two trips a year to Knoxville and try to hit a few specials within a 220 mile radius. Otherwise it's the local race scene which, other than a few classes of cars that I do like to watch, gets a little on the "tiresome" side. Every track around has B-Mods and Hobby Stocks and I do mean every track.

I love it when fans who are still trying to get the money together to purchase their FIRST general admission ticket at the Grove want to tell PA racers when and how to run their business...

I have attended sprint car races in several states including CA...is there a reason why the roads "to" PA seem too far for you to follow your own advice?

Lincoln 1845 ft/.35 mile T1=118MPH
Eldora 2287 ft/.43mile T3=135MPH
Port 2716 ft/.51 mile T3=TBD
Grove 2792 ft/.53 mile T3=135MPH
Selinsgrove 2847 ft/.54 mile T1=136MPH
