Thinking about going to Humboldt for the big Mod race in Oct. Is there any good places to stay.

I usually just catch a room in Wichita. About 2 hours from track.
Iola used to have some nice rooms (been a while since I stayed there). Might be hard pressed to get rooms there that weekend though.

My wife and I stayed in Chanute at an old hotel downtown. It is very old and the rooms are small, but it is pretty nice and very cheap. My wife loved it, several cool little places around it. We plan to go back and stay there again when we get a chance.

Iola,Ks is just up the road and they have a cpl good hotels..Super 8 stayed there with my kids when we stay or on the road..Nice place & Pool for kids ,,Hot tub for others.. and many racers have stayed there also..
