Danny Sheridan now a two time winner of the Bud Stanfield Memorial race, one of the best Memorials to date. Starting 7th with a poor pill draw, Sheridan worked his way to the front with just 4 laps remaining, blasting past Bud Kaeding for the win on a very fast and tacky race track. Special thanks to Cyndi Jewett in adding to the purse and the night of racing.

i see the usac ppl still havent figured out how to schedule yet on the 24th the glenn howard memorial will be run at perris and the west coast series is at hanford that date unreal . so lets keep the car counts lower at both places and not figure out how to get more cars at each place by scheduling correctly and i believe more cars mean more fans . the bad part about this is i would have gone to both races.

We need more sprint car racing at our home track.

Hoping everything is okay with Nico Russo. I read on FB that he took a real nasty tumble and needed medical assistance. Praying it was just precautionary and everything checked out okay!

Congratulations to Danny Sheridan and the entire crew! Finally getting luck to go his way again.

Sounds like I missed another barn-burner at SMS. Kudos to Chris Kearns and the entire SMS gang for putting on another successful night with a hooked-up, yet racey track!

I'd rather have 20 410s at Perris than 20 410s and a bunch of 360 field fillers. let the 360s run their own race. or you can ask Chris Kearns he does scheduling for both series.

DERP that isnt what i was saying . alot of the guys that run 360s also run 410s such as danny faria , danny sheridan , bud , both of the twins , greg alexander, peter murphy , wes guiterrez , ryan ran a 410 at calistoga , josh has a 410 i believe and i think rusty carlile also and if we can get kory to show for a 410 show we could have a nice car count ALL 410s figure out a way to get brody a 410 he would be fun to watch. and yes they should have there own shows just not scheduled on top of each other . i think pombo has a 410 also.

Speaking of faria ,herd he was parked for the rest of the year. Not as surprising as it it was him getting that ride in place of Pombo.

This is completly my fault for letting this happen. I guarantee you, there will be no overlap next year!

Your absolutely right! My knowledge is he has done nothing but tear first class equipment up with no results to speek of.If u wanna call the 1 win this year and countless flips a succesfull season in the best equipment money can buy your an idiot. So how about I rephrase my original statement to faria should be parked for the rest the season. Ok, I've been holding this is all week. I never thought I'd see the day when USAC 360/SCRA/Bandit/whatever you want call them would out draw Ventura, especially just 100 miles down the road. Without banging on SMS or Ventura, can somebody tell me why?

Not that it matters. I'm just an armchair quaterback nowadays. Did that comet thingie hit the earth and flip the poles or something?

Geez, I had fun.

gettinit187 - I agree with the other responses to Danny "Hollywood" Faria. He is one of the nicest guys you will ever meet. Numerous times when we started racing 360's Danny and Carlisle were nice enough to loan us parts till we figured out what to travel with. Danny even offered to go to his shop when we were in Tulare to find a pump for our team. Danny is also one of the most exciting drivers on the circuit. You are going to tear up equipment from time to time. Danny did not get that ride because they were relatives he got it because they also saw something in hime that was fun, exciting , and a good driver. When I am not watching my son I watch Danny at the races because I know I am going to get a lot of fun out of watching him. I have watched him put on a driving class in the Tulare race year and I have also watched him go behind the Scordboard 2 times in one Main Event at hanford and not lift the throttle and come right back on the track. As I said Danny is a great guy to know and he has got Brass all the way down to his ankles when he is in a race car.

Not withstanding I am not taking anything from Davey Pombo because he also is a top tier driver adn a great guy in the 360 ranks. Davey also will help you when you are at the track.

I guess what I am trying to communicate is it is easy to throw stones when you sat on the sidelines. I assume you own or sponsor a car or are you just making acomment which is out of line and sounds like sour grapes on your part. I don't doubt there are numerous drivers and teams that feel like I do about Danny.

ventura politics may be getting to a few teams.if you hang in ventura be sure to stay aligned with the promoters agenda, or else ....oh , and dont say anything about anyone he likes or you may not be able to race there..its really sad ...

Yeah, from looking in from the distance thats kinda what I'm seeing. In this business, it's fine line between protecting what you've spent a lifetime building to becoming overbearing to the point teams look for alternatives.

Maybe this is just a one time thing. But overall, see only good coming from this in the big picture. Thanks for the response.
