PORT-A-COOL U.S. NATIONAL DIRT TRACK CHAMPIONSHIP OPENING NIGHT RAINED OUT
FORT WORTH, Texas (Sept. 16, 2011) – The heats and qualifying rounds of the Port-a-Cool U.S. National Dirt Track Championship at the Texas Motor Speedway Dirt Track on Friday were postponed until Saturday morning due to inclement weather.
The opening action for the Limited Modifieds and Modifieds will take place Saturday, with the gates opening at 8 a.m. CT and practice beginning at 9 a.m. for those two divisions as well as the O’Reilly Auto Parts SUPR Late Model division.
Following heats and qualifying for Limited Modifieds and Modifieds through the morning and afternoon, the grandstands will be cleared and racing will continue with the regularly scheduled activity for Saturday night, which includes the O’Reilly Auto Parts SUPR Late Model heats and culminates with championship races for all three divisions.
Fans that purchased tickets for Friday night’s event can utilize that ticket for free admission to Saturday morning’s activities or redeem it following Saturday morning’s racing and receive a championship ticket for an additional $5. General admission for evening championship action is $15 and available at the ticket office in front of the dirt track. General admission for the heat and qualifying action earlier Saturday will be $10.
Updates on Saturday’s schedule, gate openings and results can be found on the speedway’s website www.texasmotorspeedway.com , Twitter account @TXMotorSpeedway and Facebook page.
