You guys have officially lost it. Seriously? The same show was $18 back in March. I will pay the $35 but a good friend will not (can't more like it) and I can assure you that while you will get my $35 I will not spend another dime while I am there. I have a long standing policy of "if you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything" when it comes to Silver Dollar Speedway but this violates that in a big way. The Vermeil was $25. In my case I only get to go one night so I chose this one but was not expecting to have to mortgage the house to have a fun night at my local speedway. For those thinking they are going to come up Friday and Saturday you may want to check the equity in your home before you make the trip. OR just come up for the party like we used to do in the past. Explains why I found so many people hanging out in the campground on Thursday night last year when I checked in. Good thing I like non-wing racing.

I've been to 4 usac sprint shows in Indiana and a silver crown show all for 20 dollars. The ARCA/ Silver Crown. Midget race at IRP was 35 dollars! And I got tickets for 25 at Menards.

The Gold Cup in general is pretty steep. When I went in 09, it was $40 to get in for a $5k to win Outlaw race and that was a little much. I understand it's a small place with not a ton of seats, so the final night price ($50) makes some sense.

It would be nice if they paid extra purse to the non-wing guys since they seem to be trying to soak the fans.

NASCAR zombies pay many times that for a ticket. I know it seems high but you will see some real stuff. I wish PA had way more wingless shows.

The National boy's plus the USAC/CRA are going to be at our track, and http://www.usacracing.com/sprint_index/schedule_s

Oct 28 2011 Peoria, AZ Canyon Speedway 3/8 Dirt Night
Oct 29 2011 Peoria, AZ Canyon Speedway 3/8 Dirt Night

I have the best seats in the house on the top row for both night's. I paid $100 for 2 seats, for both nights. That's $25 for reserved seating folks.

Well it sounds like everyone is getting their $35 worth as they have 50 Usac cars and 25 midgets. I hear they have a decent crowd.

First of all it was not worth $35. If they schedule the same show next year for the same price I will not go. I was able to score a $25 ticket and it was worth that. With the power issues that delayed everything USAC needed to hustle the show which is a concept they clearly do not understand. I do give credit to the speedway for dealing with a very difficult situation about as well as anyone could. If this was an open show with their regular officials I'm certain they could have gotten the entire program in before 11:00. I'm pretty sure that the people who did pay $35 did not pay that amount to have the midget main run complete and have the sprint main get shorted by two laps. As for 50 cars well you see they could have told at least 25 of them to stay home and it still would have been worth $25. Nice to see Ensign bust his ass and still bring home the championship even though he ran into trouble while running up front. Haud was coming! The track was great all night long. The highlight of my night was seeing Treva Parks at the track for the first time in 20 years. She and her late husband Marion were constants "back in the day" and it was good to see her again after all these days. For those who have been around awhile - remember the lady who presented the nice afghan blankets to the Gold Cup winner? That was Treva Parks. I hope everyone who is going to Gold Cup the next two nights has a great time!

Don't know but I heard that the Thursday night pit pass was $40 - just $5 more than a grandstand pass. It will probably be similar for fri & sat.
