great car count ..and for a thurs on the west coast !! looks like the nor cal boys were out in force.. i understand the obvious that this is a combined race , but there has to be something to be learned from tracks like chico , or calistoga or a few other nor-cal tracks that are doing good for that matter . here in so- cal we are having a hard time getting 28 cars at perris , and it takes the 360 guys to make this happen , and these guys had 48 cars !! what happened with the proposed usac restrictors the 410 were supposed to use at these three past races ?? i heard they were not used. a special thanks to all the usac-cra guys that supported these races and represented so-cal non wing sprint car racing !!! great job guys !!!

The restrictors are only for 410s that wanted to run for Western Classic points. CRA cars did NOT have to run restrictors.

Does anyone know the pay out of the wingless sprint USAC-CRA and midget show was? Why I ask? 35 dollar ticket then the normal SDS brown out, to shorten the racing at the track. As the on site power outage, I really do believe as the Chico paper said black outs and or brown outs were north of town.
Then 75 cars to race, sixty at the best one night shows of days gone by! Try to get it done by 11PM. Midnight or later!
I remember those brown outs of yesterday years during the Gold Cups. Sure hope that extra money went to the racers.

I love both "style's" of racing and was one of those that commented on the fleecing the SDS track folks put on the fan's! They hold more people then any track in CA(announced crowd 2 yrs ago was 9,500 during Gold Cup). Yet decide to still screw fan's on ticket prices. Yet I keep going back, except the last year and a half do to my injury. I SOOOO wish I could've been there for the non-wing race! What a variety of racing they have had, but to charge what they charge now i would rather hold my money and go to the Knoxville Nationals then there!
Trophy Cup......Best race of the year hands down!

rj5150 was a lil costly but well worth it and ill be back next year . pretty darn good show a lil iffy on friday night, but the rest of the nights were great. was a long drive from so cal but was home by 7:00 am next morning .
We need more sprint car racing at our home track.
