Tommy Sexton bested the Bumper to Bumper IRA Outlaw Sprint Series and Mother Nature capturing the Sheboygan County Fair headliner. It was the first time in 18 years that racing headlined the Saturday night of the Fair, and despite a night long mist the show went on, all except the final 4 laps of the scheduled 30 that is, as the skies finally opened forcing a yellow checkered finish. Sexton piloted his ForePlay Motorsports Charlie Fisher powered no. 83d Maxim to the win, taking the lead on lap 13 from Dave Uttech.
Series point leader Bill Balog was eliminated on the first lap as their was contact between several machines down the back chute. Bill Warren was also forced to go to the work area however he made hasty repairs and rejoined the field on the tail. Sexton jumped out to the initial lead on the restart only to have front row mate Uttech counter and take control as the first lap was completed. Uttech was opening up a sizeable lead when Mike Kertscher and Mike Reinke had contact with both spinning, Reinke restarted from the rear however Kertscher was done. Sexton ran down Uttech as Scott Biertzer and Scotty Neitzel were working their way to the front. Great racing was produced throughout the field, particularly intense within the top ten on the small third-mile. While Sexton held the point, Uttech began fading as Phillip Mock, Biertzer, John Haeni, Neitzel, and Matt Vandervere battled hard near the front. A tremendous race within that group transpired while Sexton was able to remain unchallenged. Biertzer and Neitzel raced their way into the top three narrowly as the skies which were spitting throughout the evening finally opened forcing the rain shortened finish. Haeni and Mock completed the top 5, while Vandervere, Todd King, early leader Dave Uttech, Scott Uttech, and Donny Goeden rounded out a very solid top 10. Balog set Osborn & Son Trucking Fast Time over the 31 car field. Ty Bartz captured the Weld Racing heat, Reinke the All-Star Performance heat, and Vandervere the DMI heat. Kertscher captured the Behling Racing Equipment B-Main while Neitzel was the HRP Hard Charger. Balog was the Saldana Racing Products Hard Luck "Winner".
