I told you guy's at Victorville that this kid was due to arrive, and did he ever!.... http://abcteam.websitetoolbox.com/post?id=5477146
Sussex entered the weekend winless in 43 previous Sunoco Fuel ASCS Canyon Region feature starts. By the time Sunday night’s checkered flag flew, the 20-year-old from Laveen, AZ, had reeled off three “A” Main feature wins in as many tries over the course of two nights.
Half the lies they tell about me aren't true.

He has been improving steadily the past couple years.... I've been watching him since he was in the mini sprints, up to the midgets, then up to the sprints.... Watched him make his learning mistakes, but didn't make the same mistake twice... Sat behind his mom for years at Manzy, he has the backing of a great family.. He has become one of those drivers that always has a good chance to pull off a win... Stevie's exciting and fun to watch, and at the same time drives clean and races hard...
I wish he'd get some shirts made, I'd be more than happy to wear one....
Mike

I've watched him come up too, and watched him make the same mistake, and way more than once, but I've alway's been impressed with his positive mindset afterword. For instance; he'd be running the top at Canyon like Robert Balou LOL when it was the fast way around, and he'd jump the cushion and go up over it. There's no fence there, so he'd just loose a bunch of spots. He'd then run it on the bottom a few laps, and then he'd take it right back to the top! It didn't always work the second time either, but he never ever gave up, or thought he couldn't do it.

Half the lies they tell about me aren't true.

Yeah, you're right about running the high line at Canyon.... I had kinda forgotten how long that learning took him... But he did stay with it... And that's a good track to learn that on with minimal walls involved....

Don't get me wrong, I was talking him up big time to my Cali friends at Victorville last month, and I'm sure glad to see everything come together for him this year. He also had a win at AZ speedway, and he drove a very smart race there too.
