Steve Overton #75

With the wings I assume this photo is from the 80's with a touch of the 70's with Steve and the #75.

Contributed to RFTP by Randy Pierce via Steve Overton's collections.

Not sure if anyone remembers Gary Sooter from Amarillo, TX.

He started our in the Supermodifieds in 1979 and began traveling

with NCRA on a regular basis in 1981. Thought I would post a few photos

for you guys to look at. He was a great competitor and meticulous at every detail

Here is Gary Sooter in 1984. Notice NCRA wings were now smaller.

hello, i'm trying to find some info on a modified that i am going to restore. it raced at tulsa in the late 70's early 80's. it has a sound sticker on it from 1983 at tulsa. one of the sponsors was daley speed shop. it was painted on the top of the hood. i believe it was the #1, not sure the tails missing and the hood is pretty beatup right where the number is. any info on this car would be great. pictures would be great as well. thanks, robert

This is either a Mike Howard or Rusty Manning collection photo??

The Flying Farmer David (Davey) Ross coming out of retirement and subbing for a few races.

I believe that is Mike Peters in the Ochs #1. If you look closely at the helmet you can see the MP on his helmet. I believe this picture was taken in 1981.

Mike had MP on alot of his helmets after he started racing at Tulsa in 1975.

In 1982 he wore a black helmet I gave him after I quit racing mini stocks at 81 Speedway in 1981. He damaged the white helmet in the 1981 Knoxville crash and was unable to use the helmet anymore.

This is the same car Mike won 1981 Hutchinson Nationals with.

Your right for sure. I'm blind as a bat. Dave drove it in 80.
