Final Demo Derby Plus $750/win USRA Modifieds & $500/win Limited Modifieds 9/3
Kennedale, TX (8/29/11) by DarinShort.com. This Saturday September 3rd at Cowtown Speedway in Kennedale Texas will feature the final 2011 Demo Derby of the season, plus $750 to win in the USRA Modified division and $500 to win in the Limited Modified division. There is no entry fee in either of the modified divisions and there is a $50 entry fee for the Demo Derby contestants.
Also hitting the 1/4 mile high banks will be the Cowtown Bombers (reminder, IMCA legal Hobby Stocks are legal to run with the Bombers), Winged A-class 600’s (on the ¼ mile track), Winged Restricted 600’s (will race on the Action Track) and Street Stocks. The final scheduled Winged Modified event of the season will round out the full racing card.
After a fun unveiling last week, some lucky fans will win get to play “Bench Racing” during intermission. There will be several envelopes that fans will open – some contain cash and some contain a ‘black flag.’ The fans will continue drawing envelopes as long as they don’t get the black flag. It will be a lot of fun and some fan will leave with some extra cash! Kid’s candy call will also take place during intermission.
On the grandstand side, regular event pricing will be in effect, with adult tickets $10 for ages 12 and up, ages 6-11 will be $5; and all kids 5 and under are free!
Reminder, New "Saturday's In September" Start Times! Gates open at 5pm and racing starts at 7pm. All pit passes on Saturday September 3rd are $25, and there is a $10 draw fee for each car in the Cowtown point’s classes.
Fans can bring in a drink cooler (size of a 6-pack) as long as they do not have glass containers.
One final reminder. All previously scheduled racing events the month of September will be held on Saturday’s instead of Friday’s. Here are the highlights of those events:
Saturday, September 10: All Cowtown point’s classes (Mods, Ltd Mods, Bombers, A-Class 600's, Restricted 600's) plus Street Stocks and the final 2011 Cowtown LSDCC.com Dwarf Cars event.
Saturday, September 17: RaceSaver Sprint Special (details coming soon) plus Street Stocks, Bombers, A-Class 600's and Restricted 600's.
Saturday, September 24: $1,000 to win Trailer Race, $500/win Bikini Contest; plus Double Points Championship night for all Cowtown point’s classes (Mods, Ltd. Mods, Bombers, A-Class 600's, Restricted 600's). There is a $50 entry fee for Trailer Race.
