The Brian win would be one in my book. Jam packed house at Lincoln that night.
What about Jerry Stone's lone win in OK? Todd Shaffer's win at Selinsgrove would be anothe perhaps.

I never really thought the Shaffer win at SG was anywhere near the upset that Bill Brian's win was at Lincoln. Shaffer was extremely wild back in those days. But he was still having some huge years in the early 1990s, and he was a dominant driver at SG. Besides, he was the "real number 11" at Selinsgrove. LOL

Greg Brown won a qualifying night at the Gold Cup. Greg was a very good 360 driver. I know it was a prelim but a big win IMO

The Loren Langerud (spelling??) race was incredible. the mostly North Dakota crowd as well as the Minnesota, South Dakota and Manitoba fans(throw in Wisconsin and Saskatchewan as well), were on their feet screaming. I had never seen anything like it before and I've seen as many WoO shows as 95% of fans.. Was going to be one of the greatest upsets in racing ever, but sadly not to be. Testing my memory here, but think Saldana finally got by Loren with a lap to go. Many arguments with friends: me saying that it would have been great for the WoO for Loren to win, but my friends say a big fat no. BUT, it would have made big local news for sure which can only help the WoO. Good news or bad news is still news. The name WoO is in the story. Nuf said.
Lawlessness and liberalism equals Hell. NY City,
Detroit, Seattle, Chicago, Minnepolis, etc. We saw it.
Burning hundreds of buildings, a thousand assaults and
dozens of murders. Getting worser and worser.

I was at the Langerud race...there was rubber down on the bottom of the track and Loren missed it on one lap and that's all Joey needed. Was pretty fun.
Dobmeier victory is Wilmot was pretty neat. First time in the car and at that track and he won. It was the NST year but he still had to beat some pretty stout competition.

Getting back to the origional question posed by Johnny Gibson...what would you consider the biggest WoO upset? While I always like to see locals beat the traveler's, I don't know that I would consider Dobmeirer's win the biggest upset in history. Just sayin.
