1975 was a cold day, but I seem to remember it a bright sunny cold day. I was at Tulsa the night before and the temp was hovering around 32. Don't know if this was the year but the last weekend in October can either be 75 or 35. The #12 was a western Kansas car. Maybe from Garden City and may have Tim Wheaton or one of the Carr's??

The car looks like it is out of Wichita, Is it an early Shot Hampton, he always was #94?

I see what looks like the Cates Duece on the left, maybe the Richard Powell car on the right
The Hampton Nance #94 we have here already I think was built in 1973(?)
This could possibly be the forerunner Hampton car.
For some reason I want to say this is 1969- the striped pants in the background---who would have the nerve to wear those in the pits?

Or this car? Taken in Enid, look at the wood bumper with the chrome surround, and the tag in the middle.
Looks like a Doc Grice wheel on the left rear to me as well.

looks like a 6 cylinder. was owned in 1970 and 1971 by Joe Johnson of wichita, driven by Gary Vogt. Won 6 features in a row at 81 in 1970. Originaly owned by Shot, built at Nances.

That maybe the same 94 sedan that Frankie Lies drove some for Shot Hampton. It is over at Bob Lawrence's site about Frank Lies.

The 92 is probably Dick Walker from Arkansas City. I think he drove a 92 in the 60's.
It's funny after all these years you see something in this photo. The guys walking away from the 94 and away from the camera one is in a white t-shirt with semi bald head. The other guy is in brown jump suit. They have the Jelly Wilhelm on the left and Walt McWhorter on the right look. The guy in red cap by the #2 looks like Harold Leep also. It's fun to look at more than the main topic of the photo.

I don't know where this pic came from. This car came into Tulsa few times from what I hear, but it looks a bit like an early Lawton super to me, repainted of course.

The car next to it says Lee Hull. He is a NE Oklahoma NW Arkansas legend.
