Bolt a straight piece of angle to the back of the motr plater, put the axle on the blocks & read your tape measure. Why buy something that doesn't need a tool. Everybody is always looking to push the easy button when they don't need it.

The company is called Tru Square and the tool can be ordered direct at 360 878-2918 or from your local speed shop. The tool is used to move the rear end into place (proper distance from motor plate, squared, centered, etc.) then it hold it in place while you time birdcages and hookup the rods and arms. No more falling off the blocks , no more straps, no more cussing. Also with the rear end held securely in place you can work on other parts of the car at the same time.

Nice looking piece. Eveyone will make one know. Wasn't try to be negative, but most birdcages have a level built in. Great set up for the first timers.

I've been squaring Midgets for years & this is by far the easiest way I have found to do it. No shaking or falling off the blocks. Put it up on blocks, square it, time your Bird Cages & adjust the radius rods & torsion arm heims. It easily cuts the time in half. Very simple & easy to use...and IT WORKS!

The level in the bird cages doesn't help square the rear end , this piece would be slick for anytimers

Tru Square definitely looks like good tool. My only question is: Is it priced low enough for it to be not worth the trouble of whittling one out myself this winter?

The complete kit includes both squaring tools, the centering tool, and all clamps. The price is $119.95

I saw this tool at the Nationals, I don't work on sprint cars but this looked like a pretty handy deal for for a mechanic! I actually was thinking about what if you took at a step further and manufactured a Vice-Grip type clamp with the pipe fitted jaws on each end of it for quicker application & removal! Maybe stupid but was just thinking it when I was looking at it.

I guess a closer look at those pipe clamps, they look like a quick release style! My bad.
