Nice to see Chico continue to pay $2,000 to win even with the low car counts. I hear the track was decent last weekend and I'm sure it will get better each week. I am pulling for the track to make it to keep 410 weekly racing alive in NorCal.
I am just a fan in the stands but here are a few ideas to improve car counts in 2012;
- Tie in with King of the West series with the same rules
- Go dark on 410 sprints with KSW Friday night races (only a few times per year).
- Switch to Goodyears and put the sponorship money into the purse or points fund
- Have a bonus that if you win Chico Friday night & KWS race on Saturday, pay $3,000 to $5,000
- Get Morrie Williams & J. Allard back!

They need to RUN promote that A4MP 440 Engine alongside the existing 410 class to try to increase the Sprint car car count and there should be some incentive to run this engine like an extra amount of money at the end of the year. Face lift the entry of the speedway and a few other things maybe more stands or make more of in turn 1 (for the gold cup)
Hammerdown!

If they did that and had true progressive banking that was pretty steep at the top...I would move there. Tulare is about as perfect as a dirt track gets.
Cheers!

Gotta love the Thunderbowl! I wish it wasn't quite so far away from Martinez.

Thunderbowl is my favorite track and the trophy cup is the best race of the year. the format is perfect.
We need more sprint car racing at our home track.
