Did you hear an interview after the race? I was looking forward to one but I never caught it.

That interview between the rain delays was pathetic! Did she think she was the only driver feeling the pressure during the rain delay? If she really wants respect as one of the woman in racing, she'd better knock off the contsant whining, its really getting old. Keep trying little girl, maybe someday you will take the checkers in the big league.

Her post race interview showed her intensity. 3 top 10 finishes in 3 years. Only Lady Luck determines it from here.

Funny how much criticism is coming from people who don't have the nads to even race an enduro car.

Hey Drano, is the rumor true that you have Danica posters pasted to your ceiling?

My 2 cents on Danica....

I can see she is a gifted driver and deserves being at the professional level - just how gifted in the big league remains to be seen. I also understand her marketing value to the IRL and racing as a whole. But the over-hyping is getting old. Relative to her racing successes she gets too much pre-race and during race coverage on TV.

I can't help but wonder how the other drivers, who know they are of equal talent, really feel about this.

They're smart enough to know the publicity is good for the sport but it's gotta take a hit on their own egos and marketing efforts.

IMHO.

I doubt other drivers think too much about it......especially when they are lapping her.

the entire CART/IRL mess has created a marketing nightmare and Danica is a great way to avoid dealing with the ridiculousness of both enties.

think about it...Paul Tracy...Al Unser Jr...Any Andretti...Dario Spaghetti...Koffee Anan...Helio-Copter-Nevus...

now they are looking for ways to change the race day / time to get a NASCRAP driver to attend...W T F is next with these idiots?

milka duno is hotter than dulica.. i mean danica. too bad hugo chavez (i.e. citgo oil) is backing her. and too bad the people are pumping ethonol so hard as the replacement fuel to save us all. the us can't produce enough at a low enough cost to make a difference. and how much would it cost per gallon? we pay $4.50 a gallon now for methonol. what are the race teams paying for ethonol? AND if we run street cars on pure ethonol they would get about HALF the fuel milage as with gas. it takes 14 parts air to one part fuel to burn gas in a motor. and it takes 7 parts air to one part fuel to burn methonol. i believe ethonal would be close to methonol in fuel to air ratio. also the alcohols are much more corrosive and do not work well in cold or wet climates. so even if you could get ethonol for $1.50 a gallon and gas was $3.00 a gallon you would still be paying about the same for fuel. you could fill you tank for less but you would only go about half as far before you had to fill it again. the hype about ethonol it a PR joke. we all would like to get off of eastern oil. but damn if oil isn't the best thing so far for the price. if we all want to use ethonol in the place of gas that is fine. but don't any of you believe it is the fix. we could use it. but it would not be as easy on us as they make it out to be. and what kins of corn will they use? what happens when the price of corn goes up lol. do we eat it or use it for fuel? lol. remember the story of the guy who made a motor that would run on water? well what if that caught on. then how much would water cost. lol. got to be careful using what you use to eat and drink to power your cars! boy did i get off topic. it was that hugo chavez deal i think. ya, danica is over rated.

The same way the other Nextel cup driver feel about Ironhead Jr getting all that attention.

Don't forget she is also marketable as being not only a driver but a trophy girl looks with a race car.

Wetntacy, Only 33 active Nextel cup drivers have one a cup race. Guess all the rest are over rated? Especially these guys. They never got the checkers in the big league!!

true, she will have those who will milk the phyisical thing just like they did with anna kornikova. but if she can't produce on the track it don't matter how pretty it is,she will still loose face. but she is not that bad a racer. at least she runs it around pretty hard and she it not in the way and crashing all the time. but the pr don't fit the racing product. market her as a cute race driver and that is fine. but at this point that is all she is. some of the ladies out there may say the same about marco andretti.lol where is duchess jane when you need her ?

milka duno is hotter than dulica..

Sorry, but Milka just doesn't "do it" for me. They showed her without makup the other day for practice and she looked like someone beat her in the face with a bag of nickles. Besides that, I have seen/heard her talk about 20 times now and I've only picked out 3 words I could understand... a real ditz....

thanks nodust. e10 . meaning using 10% ethonol is great as an octain booster. and i know that some cars are running on 85% ethonol. though i really don't know how that affects milage. but they must be getting as good a milage with it as gas. i would like to see an estimate of how much ethonol can be produced and at what cost. i know the site is sponsered by the ethonol council. and of course they are going to hearald the benifits of the stuff. i'm not saying ethonol is bad. just beware of folks saying it is the cure. but if they can get cars to run on e85 for the same price as gas or less and make enough of it then that would make a dent in the oil market. but don't forget no one is ever going to let vehicle fuel prices drop no matter what fuel is used. once they get it up there, there is no way it is coming down. even if someone could find a cheep fuel they would be stupid to market it for too much less. and don't forget oil IS a cheep fuel. we are just getting ripped by the middle east AND the oil companies. what does it cost, 2 or 3 cents a gallon to get it out of the ground. and if we start needing less and less oil the price would start to get less and less. then ethonol would not be cost effective any more. BUT that would serve a good enough purpose right there to use it .lol.
